Hi Guys, my X6 was able to keep the hotspot alive while it was powered off / stand-by mode. But I can’t get this working at my X8. Any ideas?

It did work on one of the updates but lost it again in the last 2 , I think. I use tasker app to turn on hotspot automatically on boot.

Thanks Wang. The Zidoo X6 was able to broadcast as hotspot even when it was on standby. So In was hoping the X8 was also capable to do that.

No , don't think it can. This was one the reasons I bought this box, to extend my wi fi

That sucks Wang. Maybe there is a way through openwrt. I think that part is always available. Someone with openwrt skills still on this forum who could help us? Sounds stupid this would not work without keeping the device powered on.

won't work, something to do with how power chip is implemented, openwrt is also closed , standby at this point is 99% like a shutdown,
