I'm unable to upstream anything in Kodi 16.1, 17 or fork to my Pioneer Elite CS95. in 5.1/7.1 or anything above 2 channel stream. Even if i use any media file containing 5.1 track using Kodi it still plays it as a 2 channel audio. If i use native Media Player and it doesn't actually reboot every time i select my WDCLOUD drive, audio stream OK, but i use the players solely for Kodi. I tried every single setting in Settings as well as Kodi Audio settings, RAW, Auto, Upstream, all options selected for decoding, etc. in Kodi as well. I never had a single issue with any other players including latest Asus Nexus Media Player that easily upstreams 2 channel into 5.1 and above and the receiver played it in surround mode. Firmware 1.2.11. Very disappointed to have a $130 paper weight from China . Ozzy
Well Kodi won't work. If you use ZDMC which is Kodi with audio passthrough hack then everything should be fine. Well at least I have no problem playing files with 5.1 tracks with ZDMC.
