Will the dmp-a6 be getting Chromecast?

 

Installing the Air Receiver app will activate the Chromecast feature on your A6.
However, lite apps are only valid for 5 minutes, and paid apps require Google Play to be activated.
Still, you can find a possible method by Googling.

 

Forgive my ignorance, but do I install it on my phone or on the dmp-a6?

 

When installed on dmp-a6, a6 becomes a Chromecast receiver. Then, you can transfer Chromecast data from your smartphone to the A6.

I should be enabled by the firmware...what is air receiver? It's not on the side loaded ap list!!

how can you install something from google play store to the DMP-A6? Scary....I'll just wait till they add it in the firmware.

 

They probably won't.
There are sites from which you can download the APK for the app you need, then somehow you can install it on the Eversolo, either by copying somewhere in its storage / USB flash drive, or using a web page which resides on the Eversolo, and drag-dropping the APK over it; it gets installed.
