Hello !!! Eversolo works well at home but I was unable to install it at a friend's house who bought the same Z8. I downloaded eversolo controler APK, but its android smartphone can't find Z8. I uninstalled apk from mine, and re-installed, my smartphone can't find it either. Error message: Sent bug report to Xiaomi? And the application closes. What did I forget to do? I couldn't connect, strangely, as it used to work, so out of curiosity I did the same: uninstall the app, install it, start it: no device found. Tried this a few times. Then, turned the Z8 off (from the rear switch, not the front button...), waited few seconds, started the app again, chosen the z8 from the options, and that's it: connected. I am on iOS, so I scanned the barcode and downloaded the app from the AppleStore. Cannot say anything for Android, but I assume it will be the same.
There is an option to add the IP address of the Eversolo device manually in the iOS version. I have my DMP on a different subnet from my i-devices. Is the app allowed local network access in your Android settings?
What are you talking about? We're on the DACs here, the app connects to the Z6/Z8 via bluetooth, it is not on wifi... I also suspect it connects via BT on the A6, but since I do not own one, I cannot say for sure.
Ah, OK, was thinking it was the same for the DACs. My bad. It’s definitely network for the DMP though as you can set the IP address of the device you want the app to control.
What topic are you discussing? The software uses Bluetooth to connect to the Z6/Z8, not WiFi. Since I don't own an A6, I can't confirm, but I also think it connects via BT.
Unable to install Android app. I am returning the DAC to the seller. The friend for whom it was intended was interested in controlling the volume from his cell phone. His Hifi doesn't have a remote control. Have a nice day and ... thank you
That's super weird... I suspect an issue with his phone (too old an android version?) Nevertheless, it's his/your choice.

From the Java error, it looks like the application needs permission to use the BT, and it has not been granted it?!?!? Or... is it the BT active on the phone?
