Hello all. Thank god for this box, finally got rid of my Matricom shit. Couple of quick questions; Can I turn off the UI sounds? Why does 5ghz wifi only connect on lower channels? anything over 120 and it disappears. Using a Netgear R7000 with DDWrt firmware. Tried 12 iterations of firmware as well as stock and cannot see higher than 120 channel Thank you in advance!
the UI sound is gone in latest firmware 1.0.40 ( thanks god ) . for ZDMC sound. you can find in options.
You must ask to Zidoo directly. In this moment they are on holyday. Hope they can report us which channels is X6 Pro able to use (maybe is not a sofware limit, but an HW one) Anyway, for normal operation a WiFi modem/router like your and mine occupy 4 channels. Mine is (automatically set) on 116, and occupy also 120, 124 and 128. And here (don't know why) channels between 64 and 116 (not included) are occupied by "Radar"... Only for curiosity, why are you complaining about?
Because other items in my home work better on higher channels and right now I am using my zidoo on my 2.4 network because of that.
