I think a guide would benefit all the users! meanwhile I searched for secure boot but my old ASU’s Z170 board doesn’t seem to have a toggle to switch off secure boot. I found this is necessary to enable windows test version. im a bit stuck. Maybe the guide could help. By the way, can’t Eversolo just release an update to this version 1.15?
I just found out that the firmware update program is also found in the old Xmos driver (the one without native DSD support) So now you don't need to get windows in test mode at all so you start by uninstalling the new driver (the one with native DSD support), and then you install the old driver (the one without native DSD support) Then you just follow the guide in the PDF file I have attached the update file & PDF Remember to unzip the update file
Great! Super wonderful job! Thanks a million for this! Now the firmware is updated, do I install the latest Eversolo 5.58 driver again? Or leave it like this? Can I do this same procedure with my DMP-A6? With the same firmware file?
Now the info says: Perfect! Finally a 32bit capable firmware. Thanks a bunch again! Just one hiccup: still cant play the DSD512 files. What are the settings I should use in Foobar?
Yes, of course you have to install the new driver again, I've also tried Foobar2000, and can't really get it to work either, maybe a plug-in is missing or something?, but with roon & Audirvana it works perfectly
I tried the connection in the same way as the Z6. Didn't work. I couldn't establish a connection. However, the updated Eversolo driver showed my DMP has the 1.17 firmware and is capable of 32-bit already. So 1.15 wouldn't be good anyway.
Yes, I did. Even tried usbc on the rear panel. For me this is not an issue now since I use the dmp in my hifi setup in the living room. There it plays full 512 DSD. next to my pc it has to be DSD 256 for a maximum now. It’s of course more than good enough it’s just that everyone wants it to work of course.
For Foobar2000 to play DSD512, there is a need for a new component to be installed: "ASIO+DSD" See the description here: "sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/foo_out_asio+dsd/" The latest version is : foo_out_asio+dsd-0.3.6.zip Once this component is installed, at Foobar2000 Output section, select: "ASIO+DSD : Eversolo USB Audio Device" instead of the "ASIO : Eversolo USB Audio Device" as the Output. Note: The "ASIO : Eversolo USB Audio Device" output can get Foobar2000 to play DSD files up to DSD256, but for playing DSD512 files the "ASIO+DSD : Eversolo USB Audio Device" output is needed.
Thanks man! Great! This one does the trick! Finally it works! With the new XMOS driver, the super important firmware update to 1.15 and this component the Eversolo DAC now plays up to DSD512! Super cool!
