Hello All, I’ve got a Zidoo Z9X and was struggling with getting the audio sync sorted as it was out a little. I’ve downloaded the video on this site https://www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/how-to-set-lip-sync-calibration-home-theater However the video is choppy and the audio is dropping out constantly which makes this completely unusable to use for this purpose. I’ve reset the Zidoo Z9x, updated to latest firmware, swapped the HDMI cable, uninstalled ZDMC and even copied the file to the Z9X storage and still it does not play without the choppy playback. Can anyone shed any light on what might be going on here? The settings for my Zidoo Z9X are set as per the settings in this thread: http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...for-rtd1619-players-vs10-sdr-pdf-added.82695/ It’s got me beat, if I play this file from Plex from my Apple TV 4K it works fine. Here is a YT video of the issue to perhaps explain it better.
Sounds like a network issue with throughput. Plex would likely transcode to a lower bitrate for your Apple TV. Have you tried the same file on a USB drive to see how it plays? Are you using WiFi or Ethernet?
I’ve got 1.0gbs local network and other files play fine and also loaded it to a usb and still the same issue. Even my 4K HDR rips play fine so I doubt it’s network If it wasn’t for the fact it plays fine on Apple TV I’d say it’s the video file itself.
Can confirm. My Z9x also struggles with this video. Thanks for getting that! Glad to know it's the actual file and not me then. Shame i reset everything but probably needed to do it anyway. If nothing else apart from this file the Z9X is running more stable now so I can return the Shield Pro 4K i bought
