    Yes indeed. Normally I don't connect anything using cables but in this situation I can hide them enough so that they're unobtrusive.

    @Sogree @veector
    Hi there, our tech team considered the router incompatibility.
    Could you please tell us the router's brand?
    If you have a Gigabit switch, you can install it upstream of the Zidoo switch for testing.

    I have an ASUS RT-AX88U Router.
    https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-ax88u/

    My current stable network configuration is:

    Zidoo 8k -> Cat6 cable -> Router (above) -> Verizon Fios Router -> Internet

    I have had a Zidoo Z9X Pro (4k model) before this one and on 5G wifi it was fine, no issues.

    I've also just connected it in the following configuration and it also seems to be stable.

    Zidoo 8k -> Cat6 cable -> TP Link 5port switch -> Cat6 cable -> Router (above) -> Verizon Fios Router -> Internet

    Not sure what is waiting for moderator approval in my message. Maybe the link to ASUS web site?

    Yep. You need a certain number of posts before links can be posted without flagging as spam.

    Thanks for the feedback.
    Just the standard risk prevention measures for new accounts, don't worry.

    Hello, I'm sorry to say it hasn't been solved yet. If you have a Gigabit switch, installing it upstream of the Zidoo switch may help.
    Now we are collecting the router's model which has this imcompatibility issue.

    Hi, thank you for your reply. But are you now saying: Just don't use WiFi? That would be (for my case) not a viable solution. I was told you were working on a fix. Do or do not have the developers an idea how to fix this? (and if yes.... are they working on that)

    Not yet.

  11. Has this been resolved as I am having the same issue?

    Sadly no. I am waiting for the next firmware release to fix this. If it will not I will return the device because the continues rebooting is unbearable.

  13. I have two Z9X 8K and both are on the same firmware and only one of them is doing this!

    That is a very interesting observation! Which firmware are both using? G or non-G? And are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network/router? (use same Wi-Fi password)? If all the answers are yes.... do you maybe know of another difference between the two devices? If not: it sounds like a faulty hardware issue! And maybe that’s the reason Zidoo cannot find a cause/solution. Zidoo support are you still investigating this? Please re-examine with this new information in mind.

  15. I am using the official firmware that the Zidoo downloads itself automatically. Same network and password. I do think its a hardware issue.

  16. I replaced the zidoo 8k with another 8k and it works! I think it was a hardware fault.
