Z8 Does not turn on after failed update

Good morning colleagues:

Let's see if any user or the manufacturer can help me.

After 2 failed update attempts (faull code 193 I think) I go back to the root menu and turn off the dac with the back switch.

That was the end. It doesn't turn on again, the screen remains black.

Current arrives, you can hear an intermittent click inside. But that's all.

I have waited a few hours without success.

I'm waiting for comments...

 

I forgot to mention it:

I used the file v. 1.0.0.56 that Mirror has made available to us.

 

You didn't unzip the file, did you?
And, now... you removed the USB stick from the OTA port, did you?

if you think you might have gotten a corrupted update, just download it again, then carefully follow the instructions in the above page.

NOTE: the lins for the download are referring to the Eversolo page, and are old/outdate: re-download your EVERSOLODAC.PKG from where you got it; just to be sure.

The remote control still doesn't work (it stopped working a couple of months ago) but I can live with it.

I'm happy you carried it all out.

For the remote not working it may be that you have disabled bluetooth on the Z8...? IIRC it works over BT... there is also a setting to actually enable the remote itself... give that a try also.

 

It was the first thing I checked: new batteries and "Enabled" on the menu.

However, I don't have any problems with bluetooth.

The remote control will be broken.
