Z10 & UHD2000: Green screen followed by crash; HDMI sync problem?

    Hello everyone!
I've owned a Z10 and UHD2000 for quite some time now.
Both are running version 2.3.88 with Home Theater 5.0.
I have about 2,000 original ISO backups in my archive.
The problem is that about 20-30 ISOs wouldn't play over HT5.0.
After starting them, a green screen appeared for about 5 seconds, followed by a crash of the respective Zidoo player.
I've read in various forums that this is supposedly due to incompatibility between the Blu-ray menu and the Zidoo software.
But that doesn't seem to be the case! Instead, the HDMI sync seems to be the main issue!
For example, if I go to SETTINGS -> Display -> HDMI Mode -> and set it to 1080p 50Hz (not Auto) and ignore EDID,
the Blu-ray menus suddenly work. But when the video starts, it crashes.
Conversely, with HDMI mode set to AUTO, the Blu-ray menu doesn't work, but the video plays directly from the source!
There also seems to be a difference between Native Player and NuPlayer.
With NuPlayer, all the menus work fine at 1080p/50Hz, but then it crashes during video playback!
Has anyone looked into this problem again?
    Cheers

It's likely a combination of both. I always reckoned that the BD engine on the 1619DR players was probably 85-90% there so 20-30 out of 2000 isn't bad going for compatibility and in that 20-30 you'll probably find a common denominator.

Assuming you're using auto framerate and auto resolution, the HDMI mode only sets the resolution and framerate of the UI, not content.

Both NuPlayer and Native Player are for streaming media only so I don't know why the setting would make a difference as they have no effect on local playback,

They call different players according to the online address of videos.

NuPlayer calls the Android Google Framework player and Native Player uses Realtek's DVD player.
