The wifi driver update are in firmware version 1.0.0.13. Please connect your X9 with cellphone hotspot, then upgrade the firmware to version 1.0.0.13 (enable "receive beta version"). If still not works, please send email to support@luxsinaudio.com, we can send you firmware file for local upgrade.
Also here X9 cannot be controlled by app. Strangely enough, it does have an ip-address when I check the info on the device’s display, but I don’t see the X9 when I scan my network. Please sort this out asap. I have latest firmware 10.0.0.15 installed, but does not fix the issue. WiFi access point is a tp-link.
Would you please try to type in the X9 IP address? Click the “+” button on the top right of searching page
Hi, I have a Wi-Fi connection failed message when connecting to 5GHz. It works with 2.4GHz only. I tried with two units with updated firmware yesterday. Sadly, I own an ISP-provided router which I have to use. It is Huawei OptiXstar DN8245X6-10.
Would you please confirm if the WPA setting for both 2.4G and 5G are the same? Also, please move X9 close to you router and try again. Looking forward to you reply.
My X9 is less than half a meter from the router. Settings for both Wi-Fis look the same. I attach screenshots. Passwords are the same.
We received a similar report before and that user able to fix 5G connection issue by upgrade the router firmware. Would you please check if your Huawei router also have available firmware for upgrade? Also, please make sure your X9 upgrade to latest firmware 1.0.0.16
Sorry, it took that long, but I had to contact my ISP for a firmware update. My router is running the newest version via auto-update. My x9 is upgraded to 1.0.0.16.
No. What I meant is that I already had the newest router and X9 firmwares when posting about my issues with 5GHz Wi-Fi connection. It is still not working.
tldr; Two issues. 1. no ip address. 2. once ip address is assigned there is a long delay of tens of minutes before my phone will connect. After upgrading to the latest firmware 2.0.0.1, my wifi stopped connecting altogether. The router appears with a strong signal and is a couple of metres from the x9. Factory resets and reboots etc. did not help. I tried the password 10+ times and each time got wifi connection failed. I tried a bunch of random other things like trying my pw on my neighbours routers in case somewhere there is an indexing error. No dice. I pressed the 'refesh wifi' button and turned the wifi on and off several times. After each time i tried the connecting again. After a couple of refreshes it worked. The connect icon appeared next to the router name. But! The IP address in the about device page still read 'Network Disconnected.' I rebooted the x9 and now finally can see an IP address 192.168.2.30. Unfortunately I am unable to connect via a browser ('address unreachable') and via the phone app it doesn't work either. I check the X9 again an now it 'Network disconnected'. I run arp-scan (below - doubtful usefulness but there you go) and 192.168.2.30 is there and then it is not. Back on the x9 I can see Network Disconnected again. I return the to wifi page and it looks good. I return to the about device page and again i have an ip adress. but as before nothing connects. But now ten minutes later my phone app is connect and all i had to do was write this post! Something is not OK. The issue where the I see the x9 but it take a long ime before the phone app connects I have seen every day for months because I turn if off (rear switch) every day and know I have to wait a long time for phone control. jbc@jbc-a:~$ sudo arp-scan --localnet Interface: wlp6s0, type: EN10MB, MAC: xxxx, IPv4: 192.168.2.16 Starting arp-scan 1.10.0 with 256 hosts (https://github.com/royhills/arp-scan) 192.168.2.1 xxxx (Unknown) 192.168.2.10 xxx Google, Inc. 192.168.2.19 xxx xxxxx 192.168.2.28 xxxx AMPAK Technology,Inc. 192.168.2.30 xxxx AMPAK Technology,Inc. <<<<<X9, I guess 192.168.2.11 xxxx CLOUD NETWORK TECHNOLOGY SINGAPORE PTE. looks like your router assigns random free ip from dhcp subnet pool , thats why i asked like a month ago for static input of ip on the device, so we won't have to be dependant from setting that on routers, otherwise on every new connection dhcp is free to assign any ip from subnet pool.
I have never touched the router settings, but I noticed I always get the same ip reported on the x9 and sometimes everything works for a little while until it randomly disconnects from the network and i have to go back repeat random steps until i connect again. Maybe it only works when the router assigns the ip the x9 knows about (which would be really odd) . I have no idea though why it would subsequently disconnect. The disconnect problem is new. [Edit] Reading back in this thread I see that a number of people are having very similar issues where connecting fails fails... and then randomly works after a wait.
Update: Rebooting my router improves the issues above by a lot. But if it reboot the x9 say 5 times, it will stop connecting to wifi and i have to reboot the router again. For now everything is fine-ish.
Are you using 2.4G or 5G connection? also, please let us know your router model, we are going to check if we can order one to replicate this issue for firmware improvement. Thanks for the support
