Why are all these files listed with the message "Ignore all 1925 non - registered? There all matched on all 3 catalogs etc AND how do I register them

(please post your questions in the thread for the Beta release we're on: Beta 9b)

You would have to show me that 2.22 (2017).mkv is matched to a movie on your Zidoo.
According to Z-Keeper's request to your Zidoo, those 1,925 files are not known to the Zidoo at all.
The brown "Ignore all..." button is not what you want to press. That is only if those files are ones you know the Zidoo should be ignoring, like trailers.

Well, sure enough - that looks convincing.
I think the problem is the source is on USB://
    I will look into this.
Are you storing files an a USB drive connected to the Zidoo?

    1. How does your PC reach the files? There are three possibilities:
      • The USB drive is shared by the Zidoo over the network and mapped on the PC.
      • The same library lives on the PC or a NAS too, with the Zidoo's USB drive holding a copy.
      • The drive moves between the PC and the Zidoo.
    2. Can you send me your Z-Keeper database (all three files: zkeeper.db, -wal, -shm), or a screenshot of Zidoo Info's sources list. That would show exactly what paths the player reports. The location of those 3 files you can quickly get to in Settings/Clear data (at the bottom). There's a button open the folder where these files live.

I think I have tracked the problem, it’s one of the internal drives in the Zidoo that was formatted as EXT4. Altho the files appear and play under HT in Media Manager and selecting View poster there arei 3 or 4 buttons A B C etc only one is the actual video. I’m going to replace the drive and format it as NTFS like my other internal drive. It does not display “alternate buttons” or my QNAP NAS. I’ll take the opportunity to edit a few files as quite a few on the EXT4 drive do have lots of dots between words etc etc. It looks like Zidoo is not all that happy with EXT4 anymore. When I got the UHD3000 you could select either NTFS or EXT4 within the Zidoo. So I am going to be busy for awhile!

My NAS is connected via Ethernet and the odd visitor who brings a drive is plugged into one of the USB slots. I do not use wifi for any media.

Thanks, that explains the A/B/C buttons; reformatting to NTFS should fix them on the Zidoo.
On Z-Keeper's side there's a separate issue: files on a drive inside the Zidoo come back from the player as "usb://..." paths, and Z-Keeper currently reads those like network-share paths, so it can't match them. I'm fixing that now.

Two questions so I get it right:
    1. What name will you give the new NTFS drive?
    2. Do you turn on the Zidoo's file sharing (Samba server) so your PC can see that drive? If so, what path does Windows show for it?

    2. Yes Samba server turned on. PC sees both drives by the lengthy number. NAS is Drive W and Zidoo share is drive Z inside that folder is are the 2 drives and the Storage.

What was wrong: the Zidoo names a file on its internal drive like usb://Unknown/Movies/2.22 (2017)/2.22 (2017).mkv. Your PC sees the same file as Z:\70DCAD5EDCAD1F7A\Movies\2.22 (2017)\2.22 (2017).mkv, with the drive's serial number as an extra folder. Z-Keeper couldn't line the two up, so every file on that drive showed as "Not registered". Both problems are fixed in the next test build. Use that build; you don't need to remap anything.

After you swap in the new NTFS drive:

    1. Copy your files over and let HT scan the drive's folders. The HT app has to be running for that. Check the movies show up in HT as normal, with no A/B/C buttons.
    2. Look in Z: on your PC. The new drive gets a new serial-number folder name, so the old 70DC…/3AD8… name for that drive will change.
    3. In Z-Keeper's Settings, set the folders to the ones under Z:, for example Z:\<new serial>\Movies. Use the same folders HT scans. Keep your NAS folders on W: as they are. Leave out Z:\Storage, and a visitor's USB drive, unless you want those in your library.
    4. Install the new test build and run Sync. Be sure your Settings has "Test builds" turned on. You can get the latest test build from the link inside the Beta release notes.
    What to expect:

    • The files on the internal drives pair with the Zidoo's entries and drop out of "Not registered". They'll show in Filesystem, the Library and the other tools like your NAS files.
    • Renaming files and writing NFO files and artwork work too. They go through Z:, so the Zidoo's file sharing needs to stay on.
    • The first scan of those folders may be a bit slower than the NAS, since the Zidoo is serving the files.
    • One limit: if both internal drives hold a file at exactly the same path (say each has Movies\Avatar (2009)\Avatar (2009).mkv), Z-Keeper can't tell the two apart. Different folder names on each drive avoid that.
If anything still shows as "Not registered" after the Sync, send me a screenshot of that list and your Settings folder paths, and I'll take a look.

No “not registered” shown altho after a sync it says 900 odd are not registered. I’m out of home at the moment. But later I’ll send a screenshot. It’s a vast improvement from 1900 to now. My new drive won’t arrive till next week.

    • One limit: if both internal drives hold a file at exactly the same path (say each has Movies\Avatar (2009)\Avatar (2009).mkv), Z-Keeper can't tell the two apart. Different folder names on each drive avoid that. In that example the first Avatar (2009) is the holding folder for the MKV file. There is only one video file per folder.
    • So Movies is the main folder that contains all the movies and is auto created when you format a new disk along with a TV folder.
