Web UI IP Login Issue

    When I try to login into the web UI using the IP address 192.168.etc etc I get the following error message.
    The site can't be reached
    Check if there is a typo in am.luxsinaudio.com.
    If spelling is correct, try running Windows Network Diagnostics.
    DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

    This only happens on my PC which is running Windows 11
    I also have a MacBook Pro and I'm able to access the Luxsin X8 Web UI without any issues using the IP address.

    Really appreciate any help and my apologies if this issue has already been posted

    Please try running the following command in Command Prompt and see if it helps:
    cmd
    ipconfig /flushdns

    This command will clear the DNS cache on your computer. After it completes, please test again and let us know if the issue persists.

    Tried the command prompt suggestion but unfortunatly it hasn't resolved the issue. Switched to my MacBook Pro and the Web UI works perfectly?

    Please try changing the DNS server on your Windows 11 PC to Google’s public DNS (8.8.8.8) and see if that helps.

    Steps:

    1. Open SettingsNetwork & Internet.
    2. Select your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
    3. Click Hardware properties.
    4. Next to DNS server assignment, click Edit.
    5. Change the setting to Manual.
    6. Enable IPv4.
    7. Enter:
      • Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
      • Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
    8. Click Save.
    9. Restart the Luxsin application (or reboot the PC) and test again.
    If the issue persists, please let us know what changes you observe after switching the DNS server.

    Can you access the official website normally https://luxsinaudio.com

    I wasn't able to access the official Luxsin website on my PC but could on my Mac so I downloaded a VPN (Hotspot Shield).
    When I activated the VPN I was able to access the official website and more importantly the Web UI?

    Testing UI now will let you know if working correctly

    Check the hosts file(C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts) on you pc。We suspect that your hosts file has been tampered with, parsing am.luxsinaudio.com to an unusable source

    Ok UI is now working correctly?
    Why would it take running a VPN (I'm in the UK) to allow me the ability to access the Luxsin website and the Web UI?

    Ok so if that is the case how do I fix it instead of me having to use a VPN?

    Checked the hosts file and there's no reference to am.luxsinaudio.com in there?

    So for me it's basically taken running a VPN to be able to access the official website and Web UI.
    Not an ideal solution but one others can try if having the same issues

    Are your two computers in the same network environment? Try running nslookup am.luxsinaudio.com on your MacBook and Windows PC. You will see a DNS server address. Are they the same ?

    Yes same network and DNS address is the same when using nslookup
