Love this little remote. Works great via IR. I was trying to pair it so I can interact via Bluetooth with the PLay. Alas, it doesn't seem to be avail on the current FW. Unless I am totally blind. I am not sure what these units ship with, but I have had it a week and it updated once. I swear when I got it there was an option for Remote IR/BT option. Anyone secret menu settings or guidance to where this setting move to? Not going to lie, there may have been some gummies involved when originally setting up this unit :)

I have the V12 but I suppose that the pairing procedure is the same. I can’t remember a menu and I am pretty sure that I only had to press the buttons “Play” an “Vol -“ simultaneously for a couple of seconds while holding the remote near the device.

It appears to be pairing through the Play Unit. The original out of the box software had remote pairing. After the update, it seems to be gone. Enable pairing mode on the unit. On the V16 remote, press Track Forward and Volume − simultaneously to initiate pairing. Thanks for your suggestion

Hi there, just wanted to ask does the V16 Remote work with the Play (non CD model) easily? I love the Play but wanted an easy way to reduce the volume, pause tracks etc. Will this work? Thanks in advance.

It works extremely well across all functions in IR mode. I originally bought it to program my Logitech Harmony Elite, but I’ve found myself using the V16 remote most of the time instead. All the buttons function perfectly, and I haven’t noticed any differences in button functions between the two versions.

Thanks for letting me know. I have a SofaBaton remote which, to be honest, I have not used much and I might try and see if I can get that to work with it :)
