    Nice...
Question... what app is this referring to ??
    28. Fixed the problem of playing multiple versions of movies with the app (App will update soon)

So the remote control buttons can move up the wish list now :)

(If I was thinking of running the g, should I go 01 to 01 g, or can I get the new version in g and accomplish the same ?? Still on the fence, if G version will cause any potential issues vs non G.... or no concern needed ??)

It seems that waiting more than two months with a faulty firmware isn't enough; you have to wait for your Mac's turn, too. Is it so difficult to release the firmware for local updates, too? In any case, thanks for the update. Watching a series with DV has been a nightmare for two months now.

Still no update this morning, they've lost their minds at Zidoo
I can understand Microsoft rolling out updates over several days because it affects millions of computers, but with a Zidoo media player? That's unbelievable, probably rented the cheapest server with the lowest bandwidth...
If there's still no update after work, there's nothing left to do but download it from McBluna.

Same happens here. If delay more than 1 day, then we may try with a VPN for UK or USA servers.

Everyone has their own priorities when it comes to problems and you can't be so disparaging in your judgement.
I just want the player to work more or less normally as quickly as possible, as it should, so that I don't have to read the forum here every day and so that I no longer have to write to the Zidoo service.

I went the mcbluna route in the end - touch wood, so far, this seems a very nice update @Markswift2003

Yes, my tests this morning with DV series that were giving me stuttering problems were satisfactory. Looking forward to testing further.

Well i guess when you waited for months its not even open to debate to wait a few more hours to have a safe firmware. I guess some people just like whining.

I just disabled the automatic update check because I keep being asked if I want to update to the new version. I don't. I want to wait at least a few days, if not couple of weeks, to see what issues surface as the new version gets more testing. I don't have any issues, with the Z9X 8k, that I could not live with right now. I'd rather not update to a version that I can't revert.

Good thing they can take bad treatment muzzled too, and you paid the money for it.

No idea I'm afraid - I have a limited number of DVDs here for testing, and they work, but other than that I don't use DVDs.

Many thanks for the update. Fortunately, the DV problem has also been fixed. It took a while, but now the hoped-for update has been released.

Normally I would agree with you. However the DV stutter issue was particularly bad and made it at times unusable.

You are right, in any case I prefer and use Pure Direct mode and also particularly dedicated analog amplifier's input in case of using zidoo's ESS9069Q DAC for stereo.
And since down sampling isn't lossless playback method, it's "disappointed" me.

Yeah yeah, some people just like whining...
but others, on the contrary, have their heads firmly on their shoulders,
and still have the insight and clarity to know that a welcome update isn't
a free pass to cover up other things that aren't working !

Zidoo products, it seems to me, aren't sold with the marketing argument :
"Prototype to be finalized with the help of our valued customers"...

Nor are customers asked to sign a document at the time of purchase,
stating that they are committing to purchasing a product as a beta tester.

Not everyone has "tinkerer/tester" DNA, and it's perfectly legitimate to expect
a product you buy to be functional without any critical flaws...
just as it's legitimate to hope that, in the event of a problem, the brand's response
and mobilization to resolve it will be transparent, communicative, and efficient.

Here, we have this precious opportunity to have this quality relay, thanks to people like @Markswift2003
between users and developers. This does not, however, exempt Zidoo from demonstrating professionalism
towards their customers, who, it should be remembered, are not their self-appointed beta testers.

Update, by the way, which is still not available for my UHD8000...

We might don't need to use zidoo's player now for playback DVDs, either ISOs or folders, because it still can't play DVD's DTS and DD tracks. We still have to use Kodi with DVDs.:(
