Hello. I had an update screen, unfortunately I had to leave the house so I turned off Zidoo box. I came back and now it shows that the software is up to date, but it is still 1.2.0.5. What should I do? Wait?

 

Yeah, I'm in the UK, and nothing for me, yet.

i am in the uk it has updated and when i go to play a copied dvd it has no menu with no option when i play a Blu-ray i get the menu option

 

All my DVDs don't have menu options. I find this strange in Zidoo

 

Are you using ISO or Video_ts/Audio_ts structures?

Ok - VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS structures are not supported properly yet - there was supposed to be an update to this firmware to fix it but it doesn't seem to have worked - currently only DVD ISO is supported for DVD menu.

I'm hoping this can be fixed.

 

The new firmware does not appear to update the Z30 Pro. Is it possible to get the file to update through USB?

 

It's not to do with the box, it's distributed by MAC address - be patient - it'll get there...

Mark, will Zidoo be going to support AUDIO_TS portion of the DVD-Audio images or folders in any way?

 

Patiently waiting in UK for this, and already got my fingers crossed for the DV fix!

Started watching Narcos (2015) in 4K, what a fab series by the way, but the stutter on the DV files I have is the worst I've yet seen on my Sony A95L of anything in my collection. Sometimes I can stop and restart it a couple of times and it's watchable, but fingers crossed it will be a thing of the past when this firmware reaches me

 

Agreed. If the above IS all successfully fixed, I'd be very reluctant to touch any future firmwares, simply on the 'if it ain't broke...' logic!

 

Is multi-channel gapless playback fixed?

 

I could see being disappointed, but sad? Just an FYI, if you happen to use Audyssey room correction for audio playback of those high resolution files, Audyssey down samples the audio to 48khz for its own processing anyway. But then again, I assume you already know this or don't use room correction anyway...

 

the update page has an option for "receive the beta version" Are not all updates beta? Just wondering.
