Forgive my ignorance, but once the USB stick has been written to, where should it be inserted if the only USB input is in USB-B format?

There are two USB-A ports on the A8. Use the top one.

Is it okey to combine Harman curve on lshelf filter ?
    I use lshelf +4.5 db on 105 hz Q0.71
I want to have a better curve after 105 hz
    Here is a combined filter
I edited Lshelf filter to 90hz
    Peak on 125hz 1.2 db
Peak on 250 hz 0.3 db
Used together with a room correction flat target curve.

Not sure exactly what you are asking but… you can create a FIR filter in REW including the Harman curve where you only ask it to make changes from 105Hz and up (same with the automatic room correction). You can then add a low shelf in the PEQ.

In REW you can also just EQ from 20Hz to 20Khz and add both a ‘house curve’ (Harman) and also use a ‘room curve’ with a low shelf.

I’d suggest to download REW from their website it’s free. It’s more powerful and flexible compared to what is built in the Eversolo.

Then you should use PEQ for the low shelf under the same ‘Config’ as you have your FIR filter.

Turn on ‘Independent EQ’, if you want independent PEQ for each channel. You choose ‘LSHELF’ inside PEQ.

    Hi

Tell me can i use minidsp 2x4 hd to extend the functionality of eversolo dmp-a6? (eversolo dmp-a6 - minidsp 2x4 hd - klipsch r50pm active speaker)
Can I add DSP functionality to DMP-A6?

I have tried both REW and Room correction embedded in the Eversolo A8 and they all make sound awful, especially if you apply it to the full range (20-20000Hz). The reason for that is that DSP module in A8 is not good. I would suggest to avoid turning it on at all.

I agree with you, But DSP is okey to use a litle

Agree with your findings. My best results are using REW and limit correction to the lowest frequencies while covering the room mode peaks and troughs, but best way is to try out different ranges, curves and boost adjustments and see what you prefer.

REW is free. Here is a tutorial how to use it with Eversolo.

It might take you 2-3 days to get familiar with the program. It’s easy to use after that.

I only correct room bass problems so 20-400hz.

Is there a way to delete the fir filter if applied to a config or is it just a case of disable it. I have one Room correction did on config 1 but it’s over correcting and adding a severe roll off. I could just disable it but surely there is a way to remove them? You can reset the PEQ settings why not this but?

You can delete if by going to DSP > click on the three dots on the top right of the filters box and select Delete

Thanks but I don’t see 3 dots in the filters section, only on the config itself on main DSP page.

My bad. I think you are right.

Never mind will just have to have it disabled and replace it when I can be bothered with a few generated file.

Hello, a question if I have done the measurement with Rew (umik microphone) should I still adjust the speaker distances in the Eversolo or leave them at 3m.
I am concerned that measured right and left is a difference, but this would have to be taken into account when measuring. Or am I wrong? Because otherwise it adds up. Sorry, I'm using a translator from Germany. Thank you for any answers.

You can leave it at default distance. It’s normal to have minor differences between the right and left measurements because of the room imbalances.

    Digital in and digital out?

Does anybody know how to do it?
I am listening music with Eversolo DMP-A8 with the external WeissDac204. The DAC has USB-B, COAX and optical input.
As the room has some problems with low frequencies I want to make a Room EQ Wizard (REW) measurement with my Laptop and Eversolo microphone EM-01.

How to connect it to get proper measurements?

The problem is, that REW should send a sweep from the Laptop via (USB-A to USB-B) cable to the Eversolo DMP-A8 and further to the external DAC. But as soon as I select any digital input on the Eversolo (e.g. USB-B) all digital outputs are disabled.

Means I can't use my external DAC with a REW measurement?
