    Hello,

In terms of picture quality is it worth to upgrade from Z10pro to Z9x or 8k? Most interesting for me is DV quality/processing.

I am not using 3d. System speed navigation and playback is sufficient for me. I'm focusing only on picture quality and brightness.

I have a LG C1 OLED which is not support DV through its internal player ( from MKV ) and using SMB to watch content from my PC.

DV playback is much improved in the new players - a newer SDK is used for more accurate rendition of the Dolby trims and Profile 7 to Profile 8 conversion is performed so that metadata related to the enhancement layer is not used.

HDR handling in general is improved and way more controllable than the Realtek boxes.

Ok it didn't take long and I ordered Z9x 8k. Hope it will be a good upgrade.

    A
    little update here.

Mark, you were right, I am not disappointed at all.
DV finally looks correct, bright and pop.
This is definitely a noticeable improvement over the z10 pro.

One question: is it worth to use AI sharpness tools or AI PQ from your perspective?

From my perspective - no, turn it all off, but by all means try it and see if you see an improvement.

    Thank you.

I thought it'll be better to not create a new topic so I ask here.

Is there a way to install YouTube app into a non G firmware version?
If yes - which version should I use, universal or arm ?

    Thank you in advance.
