I suppose there will need to be a full non-beta OTA release. The users that have left the update settings at default will not be notified of beta firmware updates.
I would hope all of them receive an update. The poster wall is one of the main reason a lot of owners bought them in the first place. I'm waiting for the update myself. I think its great so far. I did see the recommended settings for the 8K units, but is there settings somewhere that are recommended for all the Zidoo units, including the older ones? I have seen that the operating instructions aren't one of the Zidoo strong points.
I'm guessing nobody has tried installing the zidoo_poster_1619B_v4.3.37_Beta.apk on the original Z9X (1619 not PRO 1619B). Here's hoping I don't have to buy a new box when the one I have is still running like a dream. The Home Theatre 4.0 is currently running version 4.2.32.
You should read from THIS post on, and see there are a bunch of people that installed both the first 2 APK's (1619B and s928) that came out on their 1619, 1619B and s928 machines Because the third APK (1619) came three hours later in another post.
I do not recommend installing it on the Z9X Pro, it is a piece of garbage full of crashes and slowness. Is it even possible to revert this update?
Must download then install both files using ApkInstaller, and now works normally on my Z1000Pro. Thanks
The Z1000Pro only needs 1 APK file 1619DR(Z9X/Z10 Pro/Z1000 Pro/UHD3000/NEO X/NEO S): http://apidl.zidoo.tv/app/zidoo_poster_1619_v4.3.37_Beta.apk
Hello, Thanks for the sharing the fix as well as the pinned post with detailed instructions to proceed with the update. I am afraid I'll wait for the definitive fix to install the update, I understand that it is a beta but I noticed several problems with the version I installed today and I am less disturbed by the lack of identification and additional information displaying than the bugs I noticed in that beta. Now that I know that the issue is being addressed I don't mind waiting for a more stable release. I'd be happy to provide you with detailed feedback about the beta, if you could explain how I can rollback to the previous version I had.
Why wait? In the past there have been a few early APK updates and then when the full firmware update arrives it overwrites the old temp APK. For my UHD3000 I’ve installed every beta or quick fix issued without any problems.
Yes, I am one of those that installed both as there was no indication which to use. What should I do? I have a UHD5000. When I open ApkInstaller I see two copies of Home Theater 5.0(v4.3.37), 37.41M, Installed. Is that an issue? When I open ApkDownload, it reports Is refreshing... but the result is Load fail. What should I do?
On mine it takes a long time to show and it just pulls the time from TMDB not the actual time of the video file. So for example both the theatrical and special editions of Aliens both show as the same time. But all movies with multiple versions are like that now. They were correct on the prior HT 5.0. I un-installed the update and confirmed.
I guess you could ask @Markswift2003 , because i don't want to be responsible for any damage you could create.
This works for me. Perhaps it will help you. With the movie poster open, click on More and then click on the circular arrows to refresh.
The problem is they weren't clearly named when the original two were posted. I installed them both. Should I remove them both and then install the one that suits my machine?
The UHD5000 is a RTD1619BPD model. One of those 2 files ends in a B. The other one refers to the latest models with a different processor.
Thanks for the clarification. Gratefully appreciated. At the time I was unaware and installed both. Now when I open ApkInstaller, I have two copies of Home Theatre 5.0(v4.3.37). It seems to working fine with the two.
