I have a Zidoo Neo S media player running the latest firmware version v6.7.88. Currently, the device is connected to my amplifier via RCA cables (I’ll be switching to XLR soon), and it’s using a 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection (I also plan to switch to a high-quality LAN cable in the near future). The issue: On my Android tablet, I’m using the Tidal app. When I connect to the Zidoo via Tidal Connect, the playback doesn’t deliver the maximum quality - it’s limited to 16-bit audio. I also tried the Zidoo Controller app on my tablet, but it doesn’t display the correct audio format either. It shows something odd (like AAC+ 32-bit, 41 kHz), and based on what I hear, it definitely doesn’t sound like Hi-Res (96 kHz / 192 kHz / 24-bit) quality. I attempted to install UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro), but it didn’t allow me to proceed - though I might give that another try. My question / request for help: What could be the solution? How can I make Tidal stream at its maximum quality (Hi-Res / Master) through the Zidoo Neo S? I’ve been experimenting for weeks and tried every setting I could find, but I still can’t get the full-resolution audio output. I also assume that switching to a LAN cable or XLR connection won’t fix this particular issue. Thank you, Gergo
