Eversolo team, please take note of this.

I am a new owner of a T8 - a supposedly high end streaming device. While i did do a fair bit of research beforehand i never actually gave too much thought about spotify integration other than reading your recent blog post about supporting it. I would think it should be universally accepted that (possibly) the world’s most popular streaming service is supported natively with all its relevant functionality - sadly seems this is not the case.

Having just set up the device, i realised your implementation of spotify losless is just a cheap hacky workaround. How is it possible that a high end stream does not natively support this?! I could have understood maybe for a lower tier device but seriously , my android smart tv which costs less than your device supports it but not your professional grade dedicated audio streamer - this is simply unacceptable!

Like others have pointed out, this should not be a debate over the quality of different services or to question why one might even consider spotify as a source for a high res streamer, but rather to call out that you have released a product that is not fit for purpose - using half baked solution workaround bundled with a top tier device. As a first time experience with your products, I am very disappointed.

As others have also pointed out, you seem to roll out updates for things like VU meters instead of addressing a very core piece of functionality. Very strange roadmap prioritisation from the product team in my opinion.

While the device itself does sound great, i will most likely be returning it if a proper solution is not rolled out soon.

    I agree.

And I am starting to suspect that Spotify Connect lossless compatibility, may never be implemented by Eversolo. Because they might think that they already solved the problem by the workaround.

Anyway, they are conspicuously silent about it.

Same here. I use the WiiM Ultra and the DMP 6 ME DAC.

    Sounds great.

"rather, a statement that you've released a product that doesn't meet its purpose – using a half-baked workaround solution included with a top-of-the-line device. As this is my first experience with your products, I'm very disappointed."

Always stupidity comes before understanding. EverSolo doesn't state in the product data that it supports lossless for Spotify. -
Spotify probably came up with /after very long consideration/ a completely different way of mixing single-bit conversion in their software. Completely different from Tidal and Qobus. I'm not entirely convinced it works well. What I've already listened to on Spotify is far from lossless quality. Spotify has the best marketing and weak HiRes engineers.

People, if you don't like the T8 or DMP-A10, just stick to "Temu" and buy whatever you want in HiEnd quality for little money.:):(:p

Apparently Rose streamers (South Korean hi end streamer company) haven’t got Spotify lossless implemented through connect and they are running on the android system.

There have been many complaints with their customers. It is definitely looking like an android issue as Spotify lossless goes through the OS as opposed to going directly to the streamer like tidal or Qobuz lossless.

I think many people will be holding off buying Eversolo once the word fully gets out that Spotify lossless is not supported through connect and the same with Rose Hi Fi, the current work around is slap dash.

I think if it is not implemented by the end of December we can safely say they are pissing in the wind.

I believe that other interesting information will emerge regarding the solution devised by Spotify. It seems that Spotify has produced a dud. If companies like Rose, CocktailAudio, and EverSolo can't currently disable the Abdroid kernel in Spotify's lossless streaming on their devices, it means that Spotify engineers need to be challenged to adapt to existing hardware solutions. Otherwise, they will fail like MQA.:eek:

I maintain that Spotify is effective in promotion and advertising, but very weak in high-end quality.

Spotify was founded by Swedes in Stockholm. Their main goal was to stream music to smartphones via the GSM network. Therefore, the files had to be as small as possible. o_O
Spotify's sound quality has always been secondary.
Spotify fans, take note of this. If you want high-quality sound, use Tidal or Qobuz.

HiFi Rose was talking about a physical add on device. Crazy. At least with Eversolo you can start up the Spotify app on the device and then use the phone app to get lossless.

Not perfect but it does work without adding an external device.

I said Spotify would eventually fall apart and their deception would be exposed.

"However, with the recent launch of the new Spotify HD service, Spotify has officially announced that the Spotify Connect SDK based on the Android NDK is no longer available, and the new HD service will not be supported via this method.

In other words, Spotify now requires manufacturers – including HiFi Rose – to support Spotify Connect (including HD) exclusively through designated third-party system integrators.
Currently, no third-party vendor offers an updated Spotify Connect SDK for devices running the Android NDK."

This is a disgraceful thing Spotify has done.:D They don't give a damn about their listeners who demand high-quality sound.
Removing these super devices Rose, Eversolo from the market is pure sabotage.
