I'd also like to see news that Eversolo supports lossless playback via Spotify Connect.

As the starter of the Spotify lossless request thread i will also emphasize that supporting lossless via Spotify connect will be the most convenient solution. I also used your above mentioned method and, yes, it works….somehow. Unfortunately sound quality isn‘t that good. My assumption: The spotify app uses androids audio engine which as far as i know cannot guarantee bit perfect playback. I am not an expert of androids audio management but it seems that something is degrading quality. When i play identical songs via tidal connect and compare it to the integrated spotify app i hear a difference. Tidal sounds better and even spotify connect with 320 kbit/s sounds better for me than your proposed method.
So the question remains: Will you support the connect protocol in the future? I would be also very happy to get your thoughts on my observation regarding sq. Is that only an imagination?

100% agree and noticed right away, thought my sub was off, just seems to be poor quality leveraging the above process. Disappointed that connect does not allow for lossless and the other method to me is cumbersome.

It looks like android cannot support Spotify lossless through Spotify connect which is really disappointing.

wiim that runs its own iOS supports it perfectly well but because Eversolo uses android it is not supported.

I don’t know if this is something Spotify need to change or if Eversolo can update.

Anyway using spotify lossless through the app on ES device is not good quality as Arne rightly pointed out.

O really? So we can forget about Spotify connect lossless for the near future?
    That's just great.
I'll need to get a WiiM just for Spotify then.

I really hope Eversolo can fix this.
Eversolo is a music streamer and Spotify is the largest music streamer company.

They found a way to get high res on Apple by bypassing the Android engine , right???

I was considering buying a T8 but i think Ill pass for now.

I’m no expert but from what I gather it’s the way Spotify has coded its software.

like tidal and qobuz that direct talk with dacs directly for bit perfect rates Spotify has to go through the operating system mixer which isn’t bit perfect.

Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like there is nothing the Eversolo engineers can do to get Spotify connect to play lossless on their products without Spotify changing their software code?

Well Apple through Android is not bit perfect but Eversolo figured out a way.

yes but it’s a clunky way of doing it, and I find it quite laggy from screen cast.

the beauty about Spotify connect is you can just stream from your phone iPad without using the Eversolo interface.

Yea, I just attached a WiiM Mini I had in a drawer to the A10, Spotify Lossless, had to use a $75 streamer to 3K A10, just hard to believe, but it works.

Very laggy, almost unusable, hopefully Eversolo can get this sorted out or I am considering moving on from Eversolo, the longevity of Android and Eversolo is casing me some concern for future functionality.

Spotify Connect simply hands off the stream from your phone to the Spotify servers on the internet.

There shouldn’t be a reason why it can’t be done.

If it can be done I suggest Eversolo roll this out very fast otherwise they will lose customers by the bucket load to wiim and especially once they bring out the ultra 2.

I was considering buying a A10 from DMPA6, there is no way now until they can come with a solution to this.
