Hi, I just received the new UHD8000 to replace the old (but still fully functional) UHD3000. I use it with my Sony 4K projector VPL-XW5000ES. I saw that many settings that were present on the old player are not present on the new one, such as HDMI RANGE (0-256/16-235 but if I selected 0-256 I would see the image very dark), or deep color compatibility and other functions. I noticed that the movie image is darker and less detailed compared to the old player, probably due to some wrong setting. The projector only supports HLG, HDR-10 and HDR Reference, so it does not support DV. How could I best set the parameters so that it gives me the same beautiful image as the 3000? I hope the new one is not worse than the old one otherwise I will make an immediate return.

HDMI range setting is automatic in the new boxes - try setting Dynamic Range in the Sony to "Limited":

VPL-XW7000/VPL-XW6000/VPL-XW5000 | Help Guide | Menu Operation: Dynamic Range
