Nutul see how fast notion’s or statements become in accurate 70 years ago I don’t think grandmom knew what aluminum was used she used cast-iron not aluminum, and yes, they absolutely tasted. Better Cast iron, though you may have something there with the gold, I’ll have to try that and get back to you ;-)

Point being how would you know have you actually conducted this experiment? How did you arrive at such a conclusion? Well, perhaps the same with some cables
Note not all some. , Point of all the silliness above first of all, you don’t know that you have tried and second of all it has nothing to do with being rude or condescending or abrasive in your overall opinions and findings, of whatever it may be pertaining to Wright ?

have a good evening enjoy the eggs :)
Oh I mean the music ✅

Wtf are you talking about? The truth is that you have a toxic personality
Forged iron tastes even better. I know because i have one. Let me think about it, i didn't do an unsighted comparison. I'm sorry, i'll take that back.

If you're happy, and really hear a difference with a 250USD USB cable, aagainst a 20USD, USB consortium certified one, then be happy. I would not be, of course, this is clear.
But you're not me. And probably my budget is not yours, too; maybe that's why I keep arguing, while I should stop.

I'll buy you a f...... 250€ cable and then you can stick voodoo needles in it and sacrifice it by burning it on the altar of eternal truth. :D:D

I don’t believe most of us, will ever stop, I personally hnow a very nice gentleman, 80 or 81 that now has to insert his hearing aids first, but I must give him credit he still hasn’t stopped :) now that’s a man after my own heart ❤️ but even with all his aches and pains and his share of illnesses, He is never rude or condescending, and is always willing to sit down and discuss any form of audio you would like to talk about on a real world basis. I think it would be safe to say he’s been doing it for quite some time any certainly nobody’s fool.

That wouldn't be worth for a mere 250 bucks. Only the ODIN deserve so much (although I am not sure they do USB wodoo too).
Anyway, let me go back to listening to my Pi4 + moOde + original Eversolo embroidered USB C-to-B cable + Eversolo Z8 + 2XLR + active sub + 2XLR + actives in my cave... total price of the equipment: 1800 EUR including 1TB NVMe in 2023.

Very nice set up. I like that and just speaking for myself although 1800.00, is absolutely a respectable amount of money today it’s worth would be let’s say and Eversolo DMP A8 or Z10 , absolutely a nice system money well spent please enjoy it, by the way some folks believe it is somewhat odd. That’s exactly what I use 1 TB SSD’s ,

and a few older mechanical drives 2 TB I believe old western digital, perhaps I’m getting old. I absolutely cannot hear any difference in any of the source material from OneDrive to the other , using an extremely old USB cable from I don’t know who Found at the bottom of a box, Everything sounds great to me , IDK but congratulations. Very nice set up. Enjoy.

    have a great evening :)

I'll do my best to get my hands upon a bunch of 2TB HDD for the price of 1TB SSD... :), then I'll hook them to a RPi-based NAS for 50 buck more. I'll let you know. But they are harder and harder to find... I'm starting to believe that whoever owns them, keeps them safe and hidden from hunters like me... :(

Nutul I have 2 more 2 TB old HHD Drives in their original boxes, from what I can remember, I bought 4 units new, at one of the big box, stores, I can remember the salesman actually offering me the last 2 units that were still left within the store, I picked them up at the time I believe they were phasing them out at way less than half price at that particular time, I can remember telling him I just purchased 4 of them, I believe perhaps I may be good for a while as that was a total of 8 TB’s Approximately 2012/2014 ? I gave 1 away to a good buddy .

yes, quite a ways back now I wish I would’ve purchased them the other 2, but hindsight is always 20/20 , They absolutely wanted to phase them out factory, installed in a nice aluminum case all of them also retain the fire wire provision :) if needed for use, but you may recall a number of DACs at that particular time also retained a fire wire input or cat cable input, we have one Audio gentleman here, Believe it or not that states his reputation still uses cat cables, I also seen them in use in a small studio only a few years back as some of those folks stated the same, idk ?

The older, external DAC that I toy with from time to time also retains this input, back then my idea at hand was to take a few of them and daisychain them together from the NAS daisy, chained through the drives to the outboard DAC cat cable provision, but the project never actually took place so naturally the drives or Stored away

the others have been stored in a clean dry area, always with approximately the same temperature, you’re around between 69 and 74 degrees, you have me, wondering, I do hope they work quite a few years in workshop storage area, they were absolutely a no-brainer for the cost at that time. Absolutely I should’ve purchased the last 2 unit, who KNEW ? I’ll perhaps part with one, The only problem being within today, not only the trip traveled and shipping and handling cost or astronomical, I just spent almost $ 70.00 U.S. On a pair of Staccato op amps Shipped from
Warsaw, Poland . The total weight, including packaging, couldn’t have been no more than 1 US pound, The shipping container weighed more than the op amps, and took approximately 8 to 9 days to get here within the US mid Atlantic region , oh plus the cost of the 2 op amps
A little here & a bit here yes sir adds up real quick;-)

have a nice night enjoy :)

Nutul , yes I Believe I see your point of view , I do Somewhat really do prefer the small size in capacity units. I’ve perhaps always viewed it this way if I have one go down, that’s not repairable that leaves me with a few backups to a certain degree, As yourself perhaps being a computer program software expert, if I got that correct, I would take into consideration , but for myself as a novice with some small files and mainly a stack of outdated music. The small capacity units seem to be a little more friendly or towards me, however I do see your point of view, thank you for your poster reply, a lot of different various devices are becoming somewhat scarce as you Say they’re around, but it is absolutely playing seek and find , And gets a little more difficult every year for sure,

have a good evening and a nice day tomorrow enjoy :)

I think as long as a usb cable is well constructed, including noise rejection, it should be fine. I doubt such should cost a lot, although I did spring for a DH Labs usb cable for a bit less than 100, because the rest of my analogue cables are DH labs.

DH LABS, made and offered a few very interesting products at very affordable price, ℹ used their DH -10
I believe that was the model cable , on a pair of older horn Loudspeakers for a guy, the small Klipsch heresy’s
Also wired entire internals & down and out to the Xovers, The silver over copper cables , sound as real nice
A bit bright on the top end, but nice products for
The asking, this was some years back , idk what’s going on with them now, I haven’t head that name in quite some time , I wasn’t aware if they were even around anymore Today, a lot of these small specialty companies I have found are still using the business in name but all the old heads are either long gone/ retired and a great deal of what some of them still produce or selll in not like the old stuff. But what is ? I’m kind of happy their still Around,

Have a great one enjoy :)

Come on Man , I’m just getting started Rich, just peeking around we’re supposed to get hit with almost 12 to 24 inches of snow just what I needed, Oh well
A few beers, along with all my electronic gadgets, the fireplace roaring, the dog barking and the Eversolo singing got plenty of time for bed,
I need someone to keep me warmAt night, But all the nice young women don’t seem to be interested, other than the music, I can’t understand why ? :) :)
No I definitely don’t need that problem, Although it would be nice for a few days.

you have a wonderful day over there. Enjoy, :)

In which part of the US are you living...Minnesota? If that is the case you currently have other problems then 10 Inches of snow. But let's not get on that rail. I've been to the US countless times, but only warm places like Cal and Hawaii, but i lived in Canada for 3 years so i know what a nice blizzard is.

Please note technical knowledge has absolutely nothing to do in particular with most of the occurrences and issues at hand here, your problem being
Absolutely without doubt stems out of one thing, it’s called common sense within one’s attitude towards other people in issues, so what good is all your
So-called expertise good for or in the benefit of anyone else when you have absolutely no common sense and how to communicate with people
You know as far as professionalism just a little bit of common sense can be absolutely priceless in some situations, At present, you might say
I absolutely have no common sense if I did I absolutely without doubt should not have even been and thought of even addressing this issue to yourself

I only hope for your sake with your attitude you don’t run into the wrong person one day over there in your part of the world. You would have been
History over here, not saying you had plans, but please stay where you are. You would absolutely never make it over here guaranteed.

however no problems. You have a nice day or whatever it is that you do besides insult people all day long , you know what I’m saying technically speaking
Are quite serious in nature, I know you don’t realize it and you think it’s a bunch of BS, but in a more simplistic manner, YOU are destroying yourself :)

Hello Richard , I read you loud and clear on that , Minnesota wow. Not if you paid me to my asking seriously, other problems certainly would be an understatement
I had more than my share of similarities, working the streets the for 28 years, however, it would not be anything in comparison to their particular
Ongoing problems at present this area has got somewhat unmanageable enough total Ludacris in regards to that situation unbelievable,
But I currently reside. I would say in the mid Atlantic region approximately 100 miles offshore, Yes, a blizzard it is. It is predicted or said that
We are going to get hit pretty hard, I have also had my share of travel throughout, I was lucky enough to receive a fully paid vacation 4 years, courtesy
Of the United States taxpayers all accommodations were provided by the U.S.M.C , I did have somewhat of a very short stay in Germany approximately
In the very early 1970s , Berlin,Bavaria & Ramsten air base, local Rhineland-palatinate. I enjoyed the somewhat very short stay very much so.a beautiful
Country without doubt. however, with some of the short liberty passes the very few devices of AUDIO equipment I had viewed or quite a bit different
And naturally unfamiliar to myself in nature,

A very good audio buddy of mine. A bit later into the night had let me use or borrow and dropped off his Eversolo Z8 Dac and this A6, And I reciprocated
And gave him a couple audio devices or units to enable the both of us to keep somewhat occupied and busy throughout this so-called blizzard that we are
Without doubt absolutely going to receive one way or the other but again it doesn’t sound too promising so this was somewhat of a pleasant idea
as I have no familiarity with the Eversolo Z8, within the newer set up of my current equipment rack and somewhat different loudspeaker placement
I believe this may prove somewhat interesting throughout the time spent indoors unfortunately , I certainly thank you for you’re very nice post, reply

Please have a wonderful safe weekend. Enjoy the music :)
