Hi guys, Awaiting the X9 I just ordered. I was wondering if it is possible to use the X9 with an external headphone amp and be able to use the advanced headphone dsp features. I know I can use the XLR out to connect to the external amp, but is there a way to also use the DSP headphone functions (such as crossfeed) with an external amp when outputting XLR? I have a Violectric V222 which should easily outperform the built in head amp. I use Noble Shogun IEMS which are super high end and revealing. You hear everything. I do have a need for the unit regardless. Just deciding whether I swap it in for my evening listening or whether it to use it with my PC and for editing. I can easily move gear around if need be. Thanks!
When you switch to the pre out xlr output, the unit does change to bypass mode. This can be overidden, and a peq applied, as well as effects and crossfeed can be turned on. So the answer is yes
