As @Netmask says, those are gleaned from mediaInfo during scraping (as long as you have "Analyse media info" switched on in HT4 Settings/ Preferences).
Hmmmm. I'm wondering if it is a an issue with HT 5 which I just switched to. I do have those settings on in HT5 but it only populates a UHD, Blu ray symbol, and a few other audio or other icons. No 4K or HDR10 populate even though it is showing on the details page.
One Last Question. For TV shows I can get the episode backgrounds to work using : Band of Brothers S01E01-fanart.jpg. I can't change the episode covers for some reason. What would be the best filename to use for this? Ive tried almost every combination i can think of. Poster, poster, Thumb, thumb etc. Nothing seems to work. Thanks
Take a look at this extract from tmm, tiny media manager. https://www.tinymediamanager.org/docs/tvshows/settings
Keyart didn't work either. I must be doing something wrong cause I can't change the cover art at all for episodes, seasons, or for the main series. Whatever I name it will revert to the main scraped picture.
Are the files MKV or mp4 or ISO? My experience so far with HT5 with current TV Series as individual MKV files simply works. A few older ones I do have to use TMM. Really depends on the scrapping source, if TMDB doesn’t have all the details.
Yes, they are mkv files. Funny thing is I can get the backgrounds to work, just not the main posters .
I have a problem with my different versions of "Aliens" I have 4 diff versions in two different folders \UHD (4K)\Aliens (1986)\Aliens (1986).(1#Special Edition).mkv \UHD (4K)\Aliens (1986)\Aliens (1986).(2#Directors Cut).mkv \HD\Aliens (1986)\Aliens (1986).(3#Theatrical Cut).mkv \HD\Aliens (1986)\AAliens (1986).(4#SE Extended Cut).mkv Before I used [] instead of (), so changed them all to be (). But in posterwall I now have two posters for Alien. The one for the 4K versions, and the one for the HD versions. why are they not in the same poster?
I am actually trying to have multiple posters for the same movie Examples - Directors Cut, Theatrical Version, 3D Version etc. I would like to know how you got that to work.
haha, well. I managed to name them so they show up under the same poster now. as follows: Aliens (1986).(1#Theatrical Cut).mkv Aliens (1986).(2#Directors Cut).mkv Aliens (1986).(3#Special Edition).mkv Aliens (1986).(4#Extended Cut).mkv For some reason "Aliens (1986).(4#SE Extended Cut).mkv" didn't work
In what way? How does the posterwall interpret or handle/not handle that situation? Does it dpend on some setting? but after renming the files it worked, and i still only haev NFO files in one folder..
If for example you add the same movie as an additional part to one that is already part of a multi part set defined and by NFO and that movie is not defined with an NFO, it's added as a separate entity. It's just the way the logic works. When you renamed the files, the original scrapes were scrapped (so to speak!) and all movies were rescraped on their own merit and because the naming convention for all movies was correct they all fell into a multipart selection, regardless of NFOs being present or not. I'm sure the logic could be improved, but we're really in the realms of esoteria here so I doubt it will happen... Not sure if that makes sense, but does to me with a glass of Shiraz in my hand
Maybe you have a tip for this: I have quite a bit of old mvoies that i have stored as DVD ISO files, but the icon in posterwall for the source is "bluray". how can I change it to be "DVD" instead? (not for all ISO files, but for DVD ISO files. Update: ah, it seems that if it is an ISO file, it gets labeled as blueray, but if it is the just the VIDEO_TS folder from inside the ISO, it correctly labels as DVD... go figure. Maybe I will just convert them all to MKV... one day
Yes - I have that in a bug report - I think it improved this time with the corner label of a DVD ISO in the posterwall showing "DVD" (as long as the directory has a .dvd suffix), but the poster details page still carries through the BluRay buttons alongside DVD ones:
It's getting late for me. I had en file with interstellar but something went wrong with it. it was only 38 min long. So I copied the full file over again, but the poster into still showed 38 min, even after refreshing. I even manually edited it via the web interface to 169 min. still shows 38 min on Zidoo. I tried "clean match info" and re-added it from unmatched. Still 38 min shown. I got sick of it and did the "clean match into and remove from posterwall", and now I can't add it back at all. It's like it is being ignored from scan?
