They should be. But I doubt that all dealers have returned whatever stock they had.

I wonder if the hum my A6 ME gen2 generates when connected to a grounded power socket or S/ftp cat6 is a sign of a powersupply issue. I bought my A6 in May.

Could you please record it in a video? It'll be submitted to our dev.

I tried recording it with my phone, but the level seems quite low.

There are 2 files within the zip file.
1 where the eversolo is connected to a grounded main power socket and on WiFi, resulting in the hum (tried different sockets, even tried in a similar setup at a friend's house, result was the same, even when using his A6gen2)
2nd clip is when the eversolo is plugged in a not grounded power socket, but connected by shielded lan cable. Switches (netgear) and router (tried both Asus and Fritsbox) are also not grounded.

Are there noises inside the streamer once it was powered on?

Once it's powered on I think not. When it's in standby there is some kind of electrical noise audible from the device.

I see. Our dev suggest replacing the power supply module. Please contact the distributor of your A6 Gen2, and it's under the warranty of the specific power issue.
Thanks for your feedback and patience!

I got it used from the seller on Amazon, and it arrived practically new. It's had 4 updates, and I'm using it now. I have to say, it's a fantastic product for all the features it has, and I think it even sounds good.
To find out if mine is among those with this problem, is there a way to find out by serial number or something else?
    Thanks

Unfortunately no. I’ve had one since February, play it several hours a day, and have had no issues. I have no idea if that means I’m in the clear.

As noted in the posts, no info has been provided as to which units have been affected, other than they were produced at some point in February 2025.

Don't worry about it until it fails (IF it fails).

I heard back from my Eversolo dealer that the Dutch importer has a powersupply in stock and he'll take care of the swap.

My second A6 Gen 2 failed on my on Christmas days. Exactly the same issue. Just completely died on me. This is a replacement I got in June 2025 after my original Gen 2 failed. Just awaiting a replacement unit from Richer Sounds in the UK. Hopefully it will be third time lucky for me. If the new ones fails, I'm probably going to give up on the A6 and move to another manufacturer. It would be a shame as, when it's working, I lover the Eversolo.

Don't show pictures of a serial number or post it on internet!
It is an opertunity for criminals to commit fraud ( with insurance, selling crap, claiming your warranty etc)

Mine purchased in June just died 4 days ago. I had assumed that all units purchased after December were unaffected as per the post by Kim above. Have tried contact my retailer but they are closed until the 7th of January here in Australia :(

Hi Spizz, sorry to hear that, what happened to your unit?

It was in standby mode with the screen off but the front knob illuminated. Pressed the knob in to turn on the screen and it totally died. No sign of life, not even the lan lights on the back blinking.

Sorry to read your unit just suddenly died. :(

As much as has been written that only early production units were likely to fail one doesn't know how long your particular unit has been sitting on a shelf in some warehouse at a distributor or even at the dealer.
IMHO the only way to develop a picture or pattern of failed units is to publicise the serial numbers of all the failed units identified thus far. Of course, that's only going to be a small representative sample as I suspect there a lot of DMP-A6 Gen2 unit owners who aren't members of this forum or even know about this forum for that matter.

eversolo must have a record of which serial numbered units were manufactured in what month (or at least hope they have), and what batches of components where sourced from where. Certainly, if I was manufacturing I'd be keeping a record of the lineage of the components I was using in a production run in case just such a fault had arisen. Sadly, sometimes a manufacturer ends up with a defective component even when sourced from previously reliable suppliers and if one of these defective components makes it to the final product it can lead to failures sometime down the track. It is both frustrating for manufacturers and customers alike. No one want's a defective bit of gear and manufacturers certainly don't want premature failures inside the warranty period as there's no profit in warranty work and besides that it can tarnish the reputation of the product and / or the brand name.

I see, please contact the distributor.
If you bought it on December, it won't be in the affected batch, which is in Feb.2025
But you said so, sry, I'm confused
