I haven't had any reaction since I've registered my case on the support site on May 13th, see #176. Also, the many cases of failures in this thread - and now my motherboard faulty- do not really improve my trust in the Eversolo brand for a device that costs over 1200 EUR.

Greetings. Moved my DMP A-6 downstairs and now it will not power on. Worked flawlessly before being moved, tried several outlets and different known functional cables and still no luck.

My DMP-A6 Gen 2 failed on 5/13. I emailed Eversolo support and after 2 email exchanges, I was offered a new LPS by mail. It is currently in transit.

They were very quick to respond. I'll update once I receive it and swap it out.

I purchased it in March of 2025.

Hello Robert. Here's a troubleshooting: check the cable plugged in tightly, then wait for 30min before the power on.
If it still fails to work, please let me know.

Sorry, what did you mean "haven't had any reaction"..?
Did our email support reply to you for the next step?

As I said, I registered my case with your support a week ago but have had no reply by e-mail. Since everybody else gets responses maybe it got lost somewhere?

I see. Sorry for the confusion. They took some time to re-confirm the issue is on motherboard. You can check your email inbox now.

New LPS received via mail and I performed the swap myself. Everything is working just fine now. TY to the support team at Eversolo.

I ordered an Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 from Amazon. How can I find out the production month and date using the serial number? Is it certain that only February 2025 production models have power supply problems?

These questions have previous been answered by eversolo, but here's the executive summary -
    • Eversolo have stated that they believe only a certain run of units produced in February 2025 have the failing PSU issue.
    • Eversolo have not publicised a list of the MAC addresses of the affected units.
    • Affected units usually fail shortly after been put into service (however there isn't any published data regarding the MTBF).
    • If your unit fails, an email to eversolo support should see your unit fast tracked for repair and an extended warranty applied in certain jurisdictions.

With many devices, the power supply seems to fail only after a year, and not shortly after initial use. Why isn't Eversolo addressing this?

Eversolo is remaining silent on this, but why can't they just be honest? I'm unsure whether I should keep the device. I have a bad feeling about it.

If Eversolo considers itself a reliable manufacturer, then they should at least provide the production date upon request and assure the buyer that they don't need to worry. But I think Eversolo doesn't want to be honest!

No argument on my behalf. I agree that releasing information regarding the potentially affected units would alleviate the anxiety of many consumers, especially those buying in the second-hand market. I'm currently (as time permits) in the process of performing an "autopsy" of a failed Gen2 PSU kindly sent to me by a member of this forum.

I got my device back from technical support and the culprit was *** drumroll *** the power supply.
