    I'm using ZDMC 20.2 on the Z9X and Z9X Pro(don't have the 8k) and don't have any crashes. http://apidl.zidoo.tv/app/zdmc-20.2_rtk.apk

Thanks for this. Just an update on my experience with zdmc 20.2 using the latest Zidoo plex mod on the z9x 8k - rock solid, no crashes, using it daily with no reboots for 3 days. For some reason zdmc 21 was randomly crashing. Anyway all good for me. I can retire my old z9x with the native plex client still installed!

    New user experience feedback:
    1. Having transitioned from Jellyfin to Plex, I've found that this is by far the best user experience I've had with the Zidoo.
    2. For those having trouble with mapping/path substitution in the PlexToZidoo app, path name lettering case must be exact. I learned this the hard way after realising I was using lower case when I should've been using upper case.
    3. While getting ZDMC to auto-launch is easy, I cannot get the ZidooPlexMod add-on to auto-launch. @bowlingbeeg help with this would be appreciated*.

*Edit: The Kodi addon, Partymode Autostart, fixed this. Set it to auto-launch favourites on start (add KodiPlexMod to favourites).

The ZidooPlexMod has an option in the settings that will auto start when Kodi starts. Settings->Main->"Start Plex On Kodi Startup". Was that not working for you?

I was a bit confused when I couldn't find this setting in the System tab.
    Nope. :(

It's all good, though. The Kodi auto launcher addon works a treat. Plex loads instantly.
Also, thanks for your efforts. I'm finally happy with how I access and consume my media.

*Edit: auto-launch fixed. I had been accessing the wrong settings. I've found the correct in-app settings.

I just got this working the other day after figuring out the mappings with my Plex Server running in a docker container. Does this app support any Plex Pass features like sorting by genre and showing plex collections under a separate tab?

I don't think you can display all the genre's, you can only select one genre at a time. There is a collections tab. You get it to by going to the middle option in the top right of the library page. Normally the "Movies" tab is selected but you can choose "Collections" or "Folders". If you want more details, this is just a fork of PM4K(https://forums.plex.tv/t/pm4k-plexmod-for-kodi-18-19-20-21-22/481208).

That's the PlexToZidoo debug page. Go into the PlexToZidoo app and disable the debug page.

I am trying to get this working, I keep getting the Error: No substitution found

    I have updated
Part of the path to replace with various options

    /data or

    /share

    And then updated
    Replaced with
    smb://<myip>/data or share

But I can't get anything to work. If I press 'play' down the bottom on the error page the file will play

Thanks for any help I can get as have been trying for hours

Can you paste the details from the debug page? Is the drive actually mapped as smb://<myip>/data or are there maybe other directories before the data directory?

What is the data path after the IP supposed to be? I have all my drives mapped to their letters via SMB. Paste the full Kodi debug log?

So does that mean your Plex server is running on windows and using local drives? And I'm asking about the PlexToZiddo debug page(aka the page that shows the substitution error). Although my guess is that you just don't have the SMB path correct. If you go into the media center app can you add the SMB location and see the media files? If so then that would help you figure out the smb path.

I have everything connected to my PC through windows at the moment. I am waiting on a new hard drive to arrive and then plan on setting up a NAS

I can access all the files directly through the SMB location in the Media centre. The part listed there is either the SMB name or the drive name. None of these work either.

All I can see is an option to import or export settings, not the debugdata. It is currently switched on

Go into the media center and select the SMB section from the left menu. Then hover over the specific smb connection(you may only have one) and down at the bottom there should be an SMB path. That should be what you enter for the smb path in PlexToZidoo. Take a screen shot and post it here. Then go PlexToZidoo and and play something, when the page comes up with the substitution error take a screen shot of that and post it here.
