I'm having a similar issue myself. I just went back to install Zdmc / plextozidoo and when I try to play a file, I get Failed to start Zidoo player.

Path substitution looks identical to the file path in HT 5.0. I'm using NFS for the share.

original video path: /mnt/nfs/Plex2/.....
substitution: nfs://10.0.0.250/Plex2/...

my actual substitution rule is: /mnt/nfs
to: nfs://10.0.0.250

 

This log shows that ZidooPlexMod sent the data off to PlexToZiddo which then does the substitution of the media path and finally sends that path to the Zidoo player. ZidooPlexMod monitors the zidoo player in the background to get status but in this case it never started playing the media. Can you enable debug in the PlexToZidoo app and post those results. Maybe PlexToZidoo messed up in the substitution. If it's not that then I hope it's not an issue in the zidoo player because that's a black hole for debug. Once it gets sent there I have no way to know what happened.

Hi, so I think I may have a similar issue as others where some movies won't play with subtitles and get a zidoomod error popup. I am using logviewer and this is exact point where the error happens. Should I try that beta version or wait for the new version you will send through later today?

This seems to be a winner for me, retried previous scenarios and the same media files + some others, no errors or weird behavior experienced.
Adding a log so you can verify if you see something else that is off

 

I took a quick look at the log(thanks for posting that) and didn't see anything obviously wrong so that's good.

 

Was watching a tv show that had an issue before, and then when end credits played, I fast forward to the end for the video to stop and have the post play countdown to next episode, but I get this error instead of the post play countdown to next episode. I replaced the host and plex token with xxxxxx
I have uninstalled the previous addon and selected the option to remove settings too, and then installed the beta addon.

 

Looks like after a force close and clearing cache works. Removing my error log in the previous post.

This update appears to be working. I've not tried on anything but the app (remotely view the Zidoo), but the content seems to load fine now w/o any errors from what I'm seeing.

I went ahead and pushed that update to the repo and took the buggy one out. So 1.0.5d_zidoo_1 is the most current version.

 

For the few of us that use that attached beta zip, should we just uninstall and install addon from repository ?

 

No, it's the same version.

 

Sorry. I did not realize from my last message. But I meant if we should install the repository version for us to update to future version instead of doing a uninstall and install later on?

 

I don't believe you have to since it's the same version. It should just automatically update to any newer version that gets pushed out to the repo.
