adding streaming services into "listen at will" is ruining "listen at will" for me.
It forces me to NOT use TIDAL (aka streaming services) at all OR not to use "listen at will"
For now i have deleted the tidal option. But that results in broken playlists

Did anybody found sound signature changes on DAC section after firmware upgrades.
I use A8 with embeded DAC. The most significant change of sound signature is between V1.5.30 and latest V1.5.46. Sound signature V1.5.30 was lively 3D. V1.5.46 version much more bass, allmost no 3D sound efect, much less airy. And nothing has changed in all set up no components, cables...as well nothing changed in A8 filters EQ, DSP during comparison.
Did anybody feel the same in DAC section ?

 

Same here on the A8. Also the volume level reduce a lots too.

 

Hi wow I do absolutely and seriously hope not as you state and volume level on the A8 significantly not decreased, I actually didn’t think it was possible
if it is decreased anymore, we’ll have to go get a pair of hearing aids just to hear it with the volume maxed fully out, well on the bright side
I absolutely really did not purchase the Eversolo DMP A8 , for the preamp section. I have used it briefly throughout the last
Year and a half of ownership, however it was always planned not to be used anyway in my particular situation , I strictly run the pass through mode only
by way of balanced interconnect to a very simple and straight forward line tube pre-amp, in which employees a true unity gain setting, it absolutely
Does not change the volume output or gain level, whatever ever source it is receiving from whatever device , whatever is going in is exactly what’s coming out
Nothing amplified nothing changed that’s why I do favor some units that do employee a dedicated unity gain setting. Please I had hoped I was reading

In regards to the units output gain level structure , As the same as happened exactly, precisely once before, I would indeed say approximately a year ago when we were on firmware number 12.0 … please excuse I am exactly certain that it absolutely was 12.0 The naturally Following the remainder of the sequential firmware number in which I would absolutely just be guessing, however again, it was a firmware number that started out with 12.0 And so on numerically speaking, dam shame , idk I absolutely cannot justify any reason be due to operating system config problems, Or perhaps other deficiencies are in abilities I had no idea,

My question:
I have a lot of artists in my music library whose images are either missing from the database or are of low quality.
I tried assigning them manually by adding an Artists subfolder to the Pictures folder on my SSD, where I added all images with the filename artist.jpg (for example, Polo_&_Pan.jpg or Polo & Pan.jpg).
I tried making a backup, resetting the system, and restoring from the backup, but the images didn't load, so I had to assign them again.

Is it possible to add these options in future firmware updates?
- Preserving links between artist names in the library and their names in filenames;
- The ability to specify a folder so that when scanning, images are automatically pulled into the library, finding matches in the image filenames.
- UPD. Is it possible to add a music library category with publishing labels? (For example: Warp Records, Ninja Tune Records, XL Recordings, Stones Throw Recordings) - Sometimes I want to sort music by label, also displaying the label logo (either from the database or added manually). The LABEL or PUBLISHER ID3-tag is used for this.

I'd like to automate this process as much as possible so that I don't have to do it manually every time I reset the system to factory settings.

I really like the functionality you've implemented with the artist image library.
It looks cool and aesthetically pleasing; I've only seen something like this in your products.

NAA works on the A8.
Quirks:
Playing 96/24 up sampled from HQ player.
DAC reports 96/16
A8 reports file as 44.1/16, plays as 96.
Other than that, stable performance over many days 24/7.
NAA on a Mac mini and SMSL DDC outputs toslink, DAC reports correct 96/24.
Latest versions of HQ player and NAA (on the mini). 1.5.46 on the A8, no DSP or EQ.

Really like the artwork and layout when the files play, all files local, no Qobuz or Tidal streaming.

Guide on A8 advises to use Adaptive Gain on HQP, however the process on the A8 shows fs of 88.2.

 

Question on T8 with NAA, does it support only up to DSD 256?

I apologize for running off base in regards to your question. Yes, absolutely I use my original naturally and retain a backup for the backup. It may seem a little over the top, but I actually have three full copies of everything in which my good buddy had preached to me for years back it up back it up and then back it up now today we have the cloud with such amenities is this somewhat newer way of storing or backing up any in all information, including music or audio, in which I would assume would be fine, But yes, I have three complete copies, including the one I use, If you don’t want to lose back it up and back it up again,

Some years ago, I don’t know why I waited so long yes, I believe it’s safe to say learning the hard way, may seem strange but I had one backup that just didn’t read very well, This is why I use a total of 3 full backups, I would think That I’m very much in the safety zone hopefully,
I also do use some cloud based backups, their are
Many different types/ application methods of accomplishing this as of today, I know their are actually guaranteed services that provide this type of backup protection also, But now keep in mind you’re looking at a monthly or a yearly fee.

Hi There, So far I succesfully played HQ Player with DSD512 for stereo siles on my DMP-A6 → DAC. I don't know if it's possible and I tinkered with HQ player but got no solution for playing MULTICHANNEL SACD files thourgh HDMI to an Integer receiver. The files play perfectly when supplied directly from Roon but, through HQ player the simply dont start. Any solution?

 

are you trying to play your DSD64 multichannel files on a higher sample rate? Don't!
HDMI will only allow dsd64

I hope that with the next firmware the management of the library for files from NAS will improve and I dream that Eversolo will support DSD and Wavpack in native format.

An import log:
A simple text file with a list of
- files added and succesfulle matched
- files added but not matched tag data. almost all files that do not use the mp3tag structure. (DDF, DTS, ...)
- files ignored due to non-releated files. (not music, not relevant pictures)
- files ignored for file size (too big bitmaps)
- files not found
- files unreadable/broken/hidden/

 

Hi, "capture log" gives engineers direct technical evidence, while described steps only offer limited user perspective.
You just need to click twice before and after your operation. It speeds up problem-solving significantly.

 

Problem resolved by changing USB output's PCM limit from 384Khz to Auto. Now I can run T8 NAA with DSD 512.
I think this is a bug when you set PCM limit to 384Khz which also effect DSD to limit to DSD256.

 

The album covers of my device playlists was gone. No covers in all tracks…

 

Today I tried to deactivate Bluetooth, but works only until restart.
Have the issue on DMP-A6 ME + DMP-A8, both on 1.5.46.
Switching off WiFi works and is persistent.
