OTA Update: Firmware V1.5.30 is rolling out now

    Hello Kim!
    I updated a DMP A6 Gen2 to firmware v1.5.30, but it must have been installed incorrectly because I cannot access the library from any Android device, and the apps give an error and close.
    I deleted the library and scanned it again, but the problem persists.
    I reset the DMP A6 to factory settings, but the problem remains.
    I tried with a Samsung tablet, a Pixel 9 XL Pro, and a Pixel 7 Pro, and the same thing happens on all of them.
    How can I force the firmware to be reinstalled?

    I do not know if this could be considered necessary when a new firmware rolls out, but... have you tried updating / reinstalling the apps on the other devices (phones / tablets / etc.)?

    Yes! Reinstaled in all devices but problem persists.

    One step I would do is a library-rebuild. It may take time.
    Then, if the problem still persist I would call for help to Eversolo supports guys here around.

    Just updated my A8 from AU. Everything went well, no issues with library. Works well. Thank you for the update.

    Hello Everyone and the Zidoo Support!

    May I know if this firmware update is rolling out region-by-region, or if it is already available globally? It seems like Hong Kong has not received the update yet — is it just me?

    I also have another question regarding the OTA update:

    At one point, my device showed a “Network Error”, even though there is no blocking on my network. I have successfully updated via OTA once before (to v1.4.82). However, the mobile app shows Your software is up to date., which is quite confusing and makes me wonder if something is wrong with my unit.

    I also don’t seem to be able to download the latest firmware version from the official website. I managed to find one from a Dutch forum, but the installation couldn’t be completed or wasn’t allowed.

    Pleassssse Help.

    I found a new bug in the latest firmware. The fast-forward and rewind functions within a track don’t work at all when using the Screen feature. I can only pause/play the song or skip to the next or previous track.

    Dear Eversolo team,
    while I really appreciate the „album artist“ feature, I have a serious problem aftermaths update. There are no „albums“ anymore. Neither in the album tag, nor if you navigate e.g. via genre or year, no albums.
    Tried to reload library, but no change.
    Does anybody else face the same problem?
    Fix or workaround would be highly appreciated.

    What do you mean by "reload the library"... did you perform a library rebuild? Are your albums tagged with consistent (most of the times EMPTY is ok) AlbumArtist tags? Have you got any filtering / search based on the AlbumArtist tag?

    Dear Nutul,
    thank you for your swift reply.
    Before latest FW upgrade everything worked OK with respect to albums.
    As for the Library:
    - I imported (via upnp) two libraries provided by Asset server on NAS
    - for troubleshooting I did a rebuild on one of them, deleted another and newly created it and imported a third one
    - all files are tagged solidly with album, artist, album artist year, genre track number, track title .....

    No filtering active.
    If I browse via "Streaming" to the upnp library directly, all is available as usual and as provided by Asset server.
    Btw, I am talking about Eversolo DMP-A10.

    Problem shows on Eversolo directly, IOS APP on iPad, Android APP on phone.

    Uh... cannot really follow your scenario on the fly right now...
    Is this a new thing you did with the new release, or did you import the libraries the same way (by UPnP) in the older release too?
    Can you attach to your NAS library directly from the Eversolo?
    More than this I cannot think of...

    I actually did nothing different before and after the FW upgrade.
    In fact the libraries already existed befor upgrade and afterwords.
    I see and can navigate through artists, but album-tab is empty and selecting an artist does not show the albums of this artist, but only all tracks in alphabetical order.
    All this worked before FW upgrade.

    What do you mean by "Can you attach to your NAS library directly from the Eversolo"?

    Since firmware updated, no possible to use qobuz connect!

    Ah… silly me! I should have paid closer attention to the file names — the updates must be installed version-by-version instead of skipping versions.

    However, I’m still not sure why the update button shows “Network Error.” What ports does the device use for OTA updates? As I mentioned, I was able to update to v1.4.82 via OTA before, so I’m not sure what’s causing the issue now.

    Now nothing, I understood you better.
    This problem was an old-timer... weird it surfaced back.
    Did you reset the device after the update? Factory-reset?

    I am, honestly, quite disappointed to see that the problem with the order of the first two tracks on many albums, whose order is swapped only in the library, even though they are correctly classified in their respective file folders, have not been solved.
