Hello, I have a Ziddo Z9X Pro and an Asustor AS3102T NAS, everything is working fine on that end. I just built a new PC. My old one had shared folders that I could access directly from the Zidoo. Knowing I was going to switch PCs, I did things the right way: I transferred the files elsewhere and properly removed the source in the Zidoo. I set up my new PC and wanted to reconnect the Zidoo to it. I enabled file sharing for the relevant folders and granted the necessary permissions. I enabled network discovery, file sharing, and printer sharing. I enabled SMB 1.0/CIFS file sharing in Windows—basically, everything just like before. I also disabled password-protected sharing. The problem is that the source is clearly visible via the Zidoo, but every time I try to access it, it asks me for a username and password, and I can’t proceed any further. I’m running Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (build 19045.7058), just like before. I don’t know what to do; I’m stuck. Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks, but i already have a username and a pin in windows. I've already tried that method, but it didn't work
You are talking about username and password for Windows SMB share and not username and pin to login to the Windows?
I'm talking about my username and my Windows session PIN. I don't remember using a different username and password last time
I’m talking about Set Permissions: Right-click the drive > Properties > Sharing > Advanced Sharing > Permissions > Add, and add the new user This could be you but don’t leave it anonymous
Hello, sorry for the late reply. It's working now. I didn't do anything in particular. I just unplugged my internet router for 30 minutes, then tried again, and as soon as it booted up, my Zidoo detected the PC and I was able to connect to it. Thanks
