    Hey, happy new year everyone.
Does anyone know if the DMP-A10 supports eARC CEC?
The DMP-A10 doesn't turn on when I turn on my TV. It worked before with another device (a different brand).
I want the DMP-A10 to turn on and select the HDMI input.
I think this is called CEC.
I can't find a clear answer in the manual or online?

Hi! CEC only supports linked volume adjustment here. You can disable the auto-switching option for the built-in player in the settings to default to HDMI input.

With my Samsung S95D TV, the A10 also doesn't turn on or off. With the previous Yamaha R-N2000A everything worked perfectly.

The CEC on A10 doesn't support control of power on/off.

Information from the Telepolis portal: The moderator of the diyAudio forum, signing as Pano, prepared a blind test in which four 30-second versions of the same fragment were made available for listening: the original file, a recording passed through 180 cm of professional copper cable, through 20 cm of wet mud (combined with 120 cm of copper), and through a 13 cm banana (also made of 120 cm of copper). Respondents were asked to determine how the sound signal was conducted in a given recording. The results of the blind test are: The answers were very inaccurate—of the 43 entries, only 6 were correct, giving a hit rate of about 14%. Statistical analysis of the results indicated that such a result could have occurred by chance with a probability of a few percent. In other words, the bananas and the mud sounded almost the same as the copper cable. --:p
Now, supporters of cables with cosmic dust on their veins, you can give your surplus money to your family.;)

Nothing new! This is as old as HIFI itself.

I think they will not and they will find aspects to tell us the truth about sounding cables, wrapped by virgins on a full moon night and blown on with stardust for better harmonics.

You must believe!!! If you do not believe, you never will have the experience of the suddenly blown away curtains, the massive wider soundstage and so on...

    You know what I mean.

    Dear Eversolo Support Team,

    I am using an Eversolo DMP-A10 device connected via optical fiber to a TP-Link SM311LM 1G SFP module in a D-Link DGS-1510-52X switch (10G SFP+ port, HW A2, Build 1.81.B007).

I have noticed the following issue:

    - When I power off the DMP-A10 and then power it on again, the link with the switch does not automatically recover.
    - The link only comes back if I manually toggle the switch port speed from auto to 1000 Mbps and back to auto.

The connection uses a compatible OM5 LC-LC duplex multimode cable, and the SFP module works properly on other devices. The problem appears to be related to how the switch port negotiates with the DMP-A10 after power cycling.

    Could you please advise:

    1. Are there any recommended settings on the DMP-A10 to improve link stability?
    2. Is there a firmware update or configuration that could help the device properly re-establish the link with 1G SFP modules in SFP+ switch ports?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    Aleksandras Jodeliukas

Does it restore the link if you leave it on 1000 instead of auto, and power-cycle?

No. It will also recover if I remove the TP-Link module from the Eversolo and insert it into the Eversolo along with the connected fiber optics.

Hmmm, still annoying I must agree, but... since you are at the machine, flipping out and back in the TP-link takes a couple of seconds, uh?

Doesn't work with: HP ProCurve 2810-48G Switch (j9022A). It has the same SFP port as the module.I tried restarting Eversolo and rebooting the Switch. The only link I have is to a cheap Chinese 1Gbps RJ45 to fiber SFP converter.

When it comes to fiber-optic there is almost no such thing as "cheap"...

A quick heads-up: let's keep the discussion chill and avoid any impolite comments that might spark unnecessary arguments.
    It's the "A10" theme thread : )

Hi Aleksandras. Thanks for your patience, I've found one of my teamate is helping you, and found the more details of it.
Now the tech team want to confirm:
which output when the issue appear? If the analog, does the Opical/coaxial output work?

I use the Eversolo with optical Ethernet (fiber) for the network, and from it I send the signal via USB to an R2R DAC.

I updated my A10 to version 1.5.75 and I have to say that Spotify Lossless 24bit now plays better than Tidal. :p
    I'm even happier with it.
