New Eversolo DMP-A10 Music Streamer

Hi everyone, I have a question about the A10 but probably also about the other models. Haven't you noticed that for some time now the Tidal APK in the A10 has been heavily restricted? I mean the lack of a song radio, artist radio, suggestions, etc. etc. A month ago or so, the functionality of the Tidal APK was similar if not the same as Tidal on a smartphone. Now it's poor. Could the admin raise this issue on the forum and with the manufacturer, what's the problem? Best regards, Piotr

That's because Tidal is an American provider. Ronald McDonald Trump had a hand in it and reduced the app in it`s functions. For more, you have to make a deal with him. He's a deal maker! You know!

Thanks for the joke, but in this situation it's a bad one (pss.. that's also a joke) I think I've read everything on the forum. Many people complain and there's still no solution to the problem. In the thread you sent, the guy claims that it's a bug or a problem with the Tidal API and marked it as a solution to the problem. But it's not. I thought maybe you have contact with Eversolo and you could ask them about this problem. It seems that this applies to everyone and there's something to worry about. Eversolo's functionality is going down and we don't want that.

 

There are some guys in contact with eversolo about this. Can`t just find the thread.

No, this is not a solution to "MY" problem. Everyone who uses Tidal apk on DMP has this problem. Look at this problem yourself and you will understand what it is. Tidal has lost all functionality. Piotr

 

No one can fix this, only Eversolo. We are looking for someone who has contact with Eversolo support.

 

Can anyone tell me if the DMP-A10 has a way to set it up for home theater bypass?

 

As far as I understand, home theater bypass is a home theater receiver or pre-amp function. I think you want to play in stereo and not surround sound because that is what the bypass does. My pre-amp does not have that switch (more likely in a receiver I think) but just set the digital sound processing to off (maybe that setting will bypass the DSP) or to stereo (still will go to the DSP but not too damaging to the sound). I listen both in stereo and surround depending on the material and or my mood.

 

Thinking of upgrading from the A6 to the A10.
Only worth it if I can apply filters, delays and PEQ separately to the 2 sub outputs and the L-R channels.
I noticed the A6 now has APF (All Pass Filters) in the filter type under PEQ.
These will do nothing unless they can be set separately for subs/mains.

Right now I'm sending the full range signal from my preamp to an SVS sub and using the fairly limited EQ & filter options on the sub.
A proper DSP with 4 channel outputs (L. R, sub1 & sub2) and AP filters can be tremendously useful in getting rid of nulls in the bass response !

Does anyone have an A10 to see what options are available for filters/crossovers/delays/PEQ on both stereo and sub outputs ?
or has anyone setup a 2.1 or 2.2 system with the A10 ?

Hello! On A10, PEQ can set the left and right channels separately, but it cannot set a bass port.
I'll provide you further settings details later (the file is being optimized).

Sounds like the hardware is capable since you can adjust cutoff, level and delay (unless that is not done in the DSP) ?
I'm also assuming the L/R outputs have high pass cutoff adjustment as well.
I run the main tower speakers full range and let the sub fill in the SBIR nulls etc.
An "All Pass Filter" would help improve this.

The sub out features you show are basically built into my SVS sub (cutoff, level and phase/delay) plus a simple 3 band PEQ but they are limited Vs a proper DSP.

Maybe the A10 is hardware limited but otherwise would be good to implement full control of the sub outs DSP !

I wanted to ask some questions about the eversolo platform on streamers.
1. What about DSD truly gapless playback. Is that supported?
2. How the DB library works when you delete or change files?
3. What is limitation of tracks that can handle and hold the DB library?

Hey, DSD is available while playing the local tracks.
And I'm confused that what do you mean "DB library"? Library or something else?

Yes the library. How many tracks can handle. Is there a limitation? And how it works when deleting files or changing them.
And as far as the DSD files my question was does the eversolo supports GAPLESSLY playback?

That's good to hear for the DSD.
I have over 500k hi-res files DSD included and i am looking a transport to have these capabilities and i am waiting for the T8 streamer to review.
I have a Rose RS130 that is good sounding device but awful in terms of software.
Another question is if there is a plan in the future for a T10 streamer like A10.

Is the PEQ global (main and sub outputs together) and the crossover filters (high and low pass) are after that ?
