New Eversolo DMP-A10 Music Streamer

Panasonic 9004 does not have Atmos output in the specs, so not even an Atmos Blu-ray (with music) would work.

 

The Samsung QE75Q950TS is a 75-inch TV from the brand's flagship 8K TV lineup for 2020.

 

An Apple TV 4K box connected to the Marantz would work. But of course, it includes a video signal and audio is max 24/48 from the Apple TV.

 

Panasonic 9004 reads all music discs and displays them on the dolbi Atmos receiver

TV specs mention Dolby Atmos output via eARC (HDMI).

But you still need a source with Atmos. The TV will have apps but it might only be for films. See if you can find a Tidal app for the TV.

If the Tidal app on the TV says ‘Atmos’ with the Album, it might work.

Look in the TV menu to setup Atmos and output atmos as ‘bitstream’.

 

I have Dolby Atmos discs and they (Panasonic 9004+ Marants sr8015) play them as Dolby Atmos, but Tidal does not play Dolby Atmos. I thought that such a source would be Eversolo A8. I was wrong. Maybe Dolby Atmos will be in zodoo 8000+ Marantz sr8015

I think, you should email Zidoo or ask in the Zidoo forum.

It sounds like the 8000 can receive ‘Tidal Connect Atmos Streaming’.

I cannot find any info on this anywhere. But Tidal connect is just the user using the Tidal app on his phone or tablet and sending the signal to the 8000.

The Eversolo streamers cannot do anything like this.

 

Morning - I've already said in an earlier post that the Zidoo UHD8000 will play Dolby Atmos via TIDAL on relevant tracks

 

So, using the ‘built-in’ Tidal app on the Zidoo? Did you try if Tidal Connect from your phone/tablet will transfer/play Atmos too?

 

Hi - Just uploaded confirmation from the UHD8000 Manual in my previous post.

There are 2 methods to play Tidal either via the already installed Tidal App or via the app installed via Play Store. In this latter way you'll need to have the "_G" firmware installed on the Zidoo and there's no going back when this has been installed. In the first instance you can play via the Zidoo Controller (via your phone or tablet) - I think the app itself is called Tidal Connect but it's preinstalled by Zidoo and you can play without your TV screen being on. I haven't been able to get this to work but think I am doing something wrong and haven't explored why as yet. I prefer to use the TV interface any ways using the Play Store app and I can play Dolby Atmos perfectly - through the HDMI Audio Port (again see extract I've just uploaded in my previous post). I know you can play Atmos tracks via Tidal Connect too but as I said I just cannot get the Zidoo Controller App to connect to my Zidoo. There's a new version out now as well as a new software for my Remote, so I may have more success if I were to try again. But better the devil you know in my case me thinks - hope this helps

 

Four questions for you, the owner of Zidoo (stereo, not Dolby Atmos) Where is better? You compared the sound in stereo (on TIDAL) Eversolo and Zidoo. Why (what do you think) do they have different sabre chips - 9039 pro and 9069. What is the difference in these sabre? Do you think the choice in favor of Zidoo was right?

 

Can't answer your question 100% but as I understand it the UHD8000 has the best sound quality, bar perhaps the DMP-A10, which has still to be released. It certainly compares very well and probably better than my Eversolo Z-8 DAC, but I haven't fully compared them yet as I'm too busy auditioning my 5.1 SACD rips through the UHD8000

 

I just ordered my DMP-A10. I will trade in my DMP-A6 ME. The DMP-A10 costs 3,780 Euros here in the Netherlands. I have to pay 2,900 Euros which means that I receive 880 Euros for my one year old DMP-A6 ME.

Just like the DMP-A6 ME I will use the DMP-A10 as a streamer/DAC. As pre amp I use the Arcam AV-receiver AVR20 and as power amp I use the Arcam PA240.

I am extremely excited and very happy with the deal I just made!
