New beta version v1.0.95 for Z9X PRO/Z20 PRO/Z2000 PRO/Z2600/UHD5000 release

You seemed to be wasting more time throwing a fit over the few missing movies then the amount of time it would take to find them and rematch them. This has happened to me several times over the years as certain movies just do not scrape well due to there being numbers or weird characters in the titles or?...

Movies that are sequels are prime culprits as many times they can be matched as a second version of one title when it should have its own. But, these random few mismatches were always fairly simple to locate by slowly scrolling down my HT page and noting simple anomalies.. For Ex: this movie is now labeled as being a collection when there should only be one.... or the opposite.. when there should be a collection and there is only 1 movie listed... or not enough movies are in the collection... or the most common is literally HT5 will show a title that you know that you don't own. Easy peasy stuff really... My kids could figure it out.. .and probably complain about it less.

 

Not sure if this helps you, in my case i dont let the zidoo scrape, i have my files on a NAS, i use tinyMediamanager with it i organize everything do the scrape there, it will create the nfo files and even download posters and thumbnails, then i configure the zidoo to just use the nfo files and local art.

 

So do I.
A dedicated MacBook Pro will handle the ripping and generate nfo, poster, fan art and other files thru tinyMediaManager.
Not a single glitch so far after a few hundreds Blu-ray ripped.

Whenever a confusion on the movie title coud arise, TMM will propose the various alternatives.

That is the latest and all points indicate last. I think this line is basically forgotten at this point by the devs.

 

There appears to be a big HT5 update coming for this series and 1619DR... not sure on the actual device firmware or maybe it will be bundled with firmware?

 

Yes, buyers of the UHD5000 were well and truly duped with this device, which was practically dead on arrival... Bugs remains... The last firmware is a beta one, wow great !

 

@Markswift2003 Do you think it likely we will get an update to the HT on this model? (see above) I thought we were done with this one - thoughts?

 

Yes, I believe an HT update is coming.

I don't know for sure but I'd expect a standalone update to HT v4.3.52.

You can put the file anywhere that the Zidoo can access - network location, USB or internal storage.

What do you mean it won't download to a USB - it's just a file.

How do you set up your Zidoo using the NFO from TinyMediaManager? Could you walk me through it?

 

did it some months ago, it was something like:
Home → Settings → Media Center / Library settings (names vary by FW version).
Look for options such as:

Enable .nfo reading / “Read local metadata” → ON
.nfo priority or Prefer local metadata over online → ON
Enable local artwork → ON

i think also when you define the media targets these options appear. @Markswift2003 do you have the proper config at hand?
