@blenky do you have a 1619BPD based player? And is this latest firmware all good in terms of playback stability and no DTS-audio sync issues on your device?

reason I ask is that my Z2000 pro just got delivered and I am away on hols right now, but just curious if I should upgrade to this latest firmware when I am back. I know you have a similar set up to mine (LG G4 TV)

 

No, I own a Z9X PRO with the latest FW (V 1.0.95_G). I didn't see any problems with DTS-Sound. But I don't have them not so long time yet.

I've just set up a brand new Z2000 Pro (I had to downgrade from the Z3000 pro due to the issues on that soc) and I am having an issue with the ON/OFF command from my Logitec Harmony (Elite (Bluetooth + Ir based) turning the player ON and OFF.

It seems to almost always come ON when running the activity but when requesting the activity to turn the player OFF - it doesnt turn OFF.

Anyone help here please would be greatly appreciated.

I never had this issue with any previous Zidoos and I've recently owned Z1000 Pro + Z3000 Pro as well as many of the older models. Seems like an issue with the Z2000 Pro models.

EDIT: I changed the remote profile on the harmony to the UHD3000 and now the on/off command seems to be working ok.

Also watched a movie tonight and it was a problem free experience on the Z2000 pro, no stutters, audio drop outs or DTS audio issues, was fully immersed into the movie…think I’m going to hold on to this box a very long time! Only thing I miss coming down from the Z3000 Pro is the 4K poster walls, other than that everything else feels on par with the newer players minus the bugs!

 

I use an IP power on/off command in conjunction with IR navigation controls. do you have access to the IP commands with your setup?

 

What device are you using the IP commands on? On the HArmony?

 

My control setup is a bit more DIY than most, but the Zidoo API is fairly well documented, you just need to send a HTTP GET command with the right URL and the Zidoo will respond.

I'm using a Sofabaton X1S but the IP controls are actually handled by my Homeassistant+NodeRed automation setup with the Zidoo integration, the sofabaton just fires off a general IP request that sets up the room for whatever activity i've chosen.

the zidoo integration in Homeassistant is from the HACS repository and I use NodeRed to sequence it with the room and all the power status tracking so things that are already on, stay on when needed so i can switch activities without things turning off/on out of sequence.

I did find that even with the API implemented in that way I still needed to add a bit of logic to my control flow to send a backup IR Power ON command if the zidoo doesn't wake up within a few seconds but that was easy and is a pretty common failsafe to have in commercial automation setups i've done with RTI and such. just in case an IP address changed or someone fiddles with one of the network switches or patch panels.

Just look for Zidoo Z10 in harmony and it will work perfect. Been working for me with z2000 pro nearly a year. Turns on and off no problem. Just have to wait a few secs for it to turn off. IR blaster should be near. Never had a issue

I am sorry to report I face the micro stutter problem which was reported in 1.0.65 and before in this beta release again….

I will switch back to my beloved Z9X, since this is a killer for me happens in almost every HD movie…..mostly with 23.976 Framerate Movies

And yes for sure a Dolby Atmos Problem happens only with movies when using it. Pause, Resume helps but is annoying!
