Bought the Z9X 8K. After setting up my Zidoo I have questions . I have one 14tb usb ext HDD. On the HDD, I have two main folders; one folder named Movies, and the other is named TV. Within the main folders I use more folders to organize my movie by type, Drama, Western, Comedy. Inside the TV folder I use folders named after the TV series, Mash, Adam -12, Simpsons, etc... After scanning the HDD folders for thumbnails, I have several issues I was not expecting, and I don't know how to fix them. Hopefully you can educate me and help me fix them. 1 - The Posterwall (Movies) - Somehow during the scanning process, many TV episodes appear here that are NOT files from the HDD Movie folder. Can I remove or delete the TV thumbnails without deleting the HDD file. 2- The Posterwall (TV) - One TV file clearly titled Adam 12 has a thumbnail that reads Adam. I tried changing the thumbnail to Adam 12 without success. How can I change the thumbnail to the correct tv show. 3 - The Posterwall (TV) - Somehow during the scanning process some TV series episodes now have a generic movie reel thumbnail or a thumbnail for a different TV show. How can I fix this problem. Thanks in advance for your help
Ensure your naming of folders and files are consistent with TVDB - so for example Adam- 12 - needs to have no spaces - so should be Adam-12. In HT5 settings\preferences you can set the source priority for TV and Movie scraping - I use TvMaze for TV. Again in HT5 select the sources icon (top right on main screen). Select a source (TV or Movies) and press the menu button. You will get a pop up with options for Update, Clean up etc. Select 'Update'. Here you can set default actions for scraping. Ensure TV source is set to TV Shows and Movies to Movies. Episodes should be named in the following format 'name.sxxexx.mkv' so for example 'Adam-12.s01e01.mkv' I use the above and have very little issues with scraping.
You can also choose the option "Rematch" and manually match some of them up appropriately, if they're mostly one-offs (I understand you wouldn't want to do that if it's all or most of them being matched incorrectly).
