My DMP-A6 master Gen 2 keeps dropping out during playback.

I am having a problem with dropouts also. They might be a second to 5 seconds in length, and happen maybe once a minute, more or less, and seem to go away after maybe 10-15 minutes. It happens when I play music streamed from my NAS via wifi. I have Google Fiber in the house, it works well for other devices in the room, like my tv. One possible issue - I have no idea how to position the antennas - nothing about that in the manuals, any suggestions? Also, there seem to be ways to increase the buffering in the eversolo control app - has anyone tried this and had any luck?

as for antennas: same orientation in the spatial domain: vertical. never horizontal.
for the buffers, I also asked a long ago, and there are still people experiencing problems that increased buffer sizes could solve.
In your case, however, since they appear to go away after some time (aka: some packets...) looks like your router may increase you priority after some time of constant bandwidth request...

Thanks! I’m going to experiment with my WiFi extender placement - the google fiber router seems to rely heavily on these for functioning well.

edit: got a mesh extender for the living room, and now no more dropouts!

    Hello sir,
I only just read your suggestions! The issue persisted once I got a chance to sit down and listen to some music, the dropouts were back and as frequent as ever!

I also have a Sony OLED tv, so I unplugged the HDMI to see if it made a difference, and so far so good!

How did you re-connect your tv and how have you connected your DMP-A6 to you Cinema 30? I had bought an Audioquest Carbon HDMI to connect as I thought that would be the best option… if there are better ways, leading to better sound quality, please let me know!

This is all fairly new territory for me, so I very much welcome the help and suggestions!

I hope to hear from you soon, many thanks, Robin

If it's the HDMI that's causing the issue from the television, you can always use a coax or optical digital cable to get the audio from the television to the Cinema 30.

I believe that's what @KevinJ indicated in his post. I have never connected my television to my streamer. I have the DMP A8 and A10 and have them connected through the balanced XLR analog out and bypass the AVR's DAC.

    Hi Robin,

My Eversolo isn't connected to the Cinema 30.

My Sony Oled is connected to my Cinema 30 by optical cable (for audio from the tv), the Cinema 30 is still connected to the tv by HDMI, only not to the tv's eARC port. That solved all the audio drop-outs.

My Cinema 30's front channel pre-outs are connected to the poweramp direct/HT Bypass of a Marantz stereo integrated amp.
The Eversolo is connected to a pair of rca inputs on that Marantz integrated.
