Haha, no worries — I didn’t mean to imply that I don’t believe you. I was only making a guess based on the information available.
Sorry that my suggestion didn’t help with the issue.

I‘ve overseen one “double artist”. As you see here “Male Bonding” appear twice:

…and both just have one song:

…but there are two albums with 25 songs:

After a rescan Male Bonding only appear once and every song is there:

But the rescan might introduce the problem with other artists…

soniclife and i are facing exactly the same problem. and, once again, i want to reiterate that after every complete rescan it concerns different artists, so it's not the files or the id-tags...
i'm not gonna try the workaround posted by soniclife since it sounds like a lot of work and i'm pretty sure after another complete rescan the workaround has to be done all over again...so for kow i hope for a fix with the next firmware update....

Update: Thanks to our dev, the issue has been found, and it will be fixed in the next version.
If possible, could you please back up your library and send it to us?

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear it’s going to be fixed. Since my library is okay at the moment after my workarounds it won’t have any use but maybe WildBill could send his library.

I hope the new version would focus on stability and memory issues. All these fancy VUs etc. need RAM which should better be used for essential functions. Maybe there could be an option to uninstall unwanted cosmetic stuff to free up more memory. :)

Actually, your library still has an issue — seeing the same artist appear twice is definitely not normal.
I suggest sending a backup file to Kim so the problem can be analyzed properly.
Here are the steps to generate a backup file:
Music Library → Index → Settings (top right corner) → General → Backup and Restore → choose a backup path → tap the Backup button.

As I wrote before: I had a (time consuming) workaround - so at the very moment my library is okay and does have artists twice anymore. The screenshots above were from the last defective artist in the library which is now fixed by moving it to another folder and rescanning (last picture).

Kim already wrote “the issue has been found and will be fixed in the next version”…

    Hi zyx!

Now I found more doubled artists (which I've overlooked) and a new problem (songs without albums) and I've sent the backup to Kim...

Songs without Album should not be considered a "new problem", but a negligence on your side, instead...
And if they are "single" releases, their Album could eventually be "Singles", for example.

No, it’s not a negligence on my side: the songs ARE in albums and tagged correctly, but the albums are not shown (only the songs).

After a rescan (with the same files and without modifying) the albums suddenly appear.

    Ok, sorry.

BUT the way you described the issue: "songs without album" makes someone think differently... It should have been something like:
"Some albums do not show up, although all the single tracks do"

Yes, that was misleading. I’ve described the whole problem in my message to Kim and just mentioned it here again which led to the confusion. Sorry for that!
