I've having trouble streaming 4 channel PCM files to my Integra AVR..The source file is 192khz 24 bit 4 channel

Using the Audio Only port set to RAW output, this is how the Integra reports what it sees

Having trouble posting screenshot, but Integra reports file as 48khz 2 channel

Streaming from Oppo results in correct sample rate and channel count.

    Any thoughts? thanks

I don't have the Z3000 so can't really help sorry but I've noticed behaviour such as this on other machines with other software.

For example, I have a Ugoos AM6B+ and from memory, Foobar2000 on it spits out quad 24-bit/192KHz FLACs as some weird 2 channel hybrid but will play quad 24-bit/96KHz FLACs correctly. However, CoreELEC on the same machine will play quad 24-bit/192KHz FLACs correctly, so it's not a hardware restriction.

Have you tried quad 24-bit/96KHz FLACs on the Z3000? If they work, I'm not sure if there's a workaround other than resampling your 192KHz files to 96KHz which would be a pain.

The Z9X plays quad 24-bit/192KHz FLACs correctly for what it's worth.

Hope you find a solution. With just a (relative) handful of audio file combinations, why every machine from all manufacturers can't play them all correctly (and gaplessly!) mystifies me.

Thanks for chiming in, Pete.. I'll try resampling to see if that makes any difference
