We’re releasing a new beta firmware (1.0.0.13) for the Luxsin X9, now ready for testing. Firmware Version 1.0.0.13 Release Notes Enlarged the input source icon when switching via remote control for better visibility Added 2 new VU meters Added 20Ω impedance range to headphone impedance detection Fixed volume display issues on certain VU meters when in Volume Bypass mode Fixed display error for the character “RØD” and issue with loading PEQ settings Fixed issue where PEQ list could not show all 50 presets Fixed issue where Wi-Fi had to be reconnected after a reboot Increased the maximum number of Wi-Fi networks shown to 50
This is great! I really like new VU meters The issue that I have is that sometimes the automatic off isn't working - device keeps being on and gets pretty warm in the process. Is this something you are looking into?
Could you please let us know whether you’re connecting the X9 to your PC or player via USB? This will help us better understand the issue.
Yes, via USB that is connected to a display. Both display and the macbook pro connected to it, are going to sleep after some configured time
If your Macbook goes into sleep mode without stopping music playback, the X9 will assume the USB source is still active. As a result, it won’t enter sleep mode because it hasn’t received a proper “music stopped” signal.
Is there any chance you might be able to implement a sensitivity adjustment for the VU meters? The meters are basically useless for anyone using upstream volume control, which includes people using the ARC input as well as people who are using an upstream preamp for various reasons (wanting to minimize the number of remote controls for the whole system, for example). -Ed
We understand that when your MacBook goes to sleep, it stops playing music. However, this kind of shutdown is more like force-quitting the music player, it doesn’t send a proper “pause” or “stop” signal to the X9. Without that signal, the X9 assumes playback is ongoing and won’t enter sleep mode.
I did not notice before but the single VU meters show ONLY the LEFT channel and not the sum/average of the input signals ! Coaxial input ... both channels play correctly in headphone outs and line outs but the VUs only react to left signal. The Stereo-VUs and the spectrum analyzer are correct. Edit: Now looking at bit closer at the VUs due to that LEFT-channel-only-bug, I noticed some other minor issues: There is also a typo on one of the stereo VUs with G and H swapped to "RIHGT". Additionally the sensitivity/calibration seems to be a bit arbitrary between the different VUs ; a -2dB input signal (USB) is shown as approx. 0 dB on that stereo VU with the typo while the others are somewhere between -2 and -1 dB... They are for entertainment mainly but it would be nice to be at least consistent between the different VUs.
Connect X9 with Wifi, then navigate to “About” -> “Upgrade”, enable the "receive beta firmware" and then click “Online Upgrade” -> “OK”
The VU where right is misspelled cannot be selected via the mobile in x.13. probably one other too as there are ten options on the device UI, but only 8 in the mobile app.
Hello. I have been using x.13 for about one week. This morning when I powered on the device, it immediately showed the wi-fi screen instead of the usual vu-meters. This was strange, but I went ahead an tried signing-in, but the connection failed. The signal strength is very good. The router is 2 meters away. I tried my other network and everything worked fine. A factory reset (which did not appear to revert firmware?) still did not allow me to connect to the original network. Any idea about what could be the issue or how I might resolve it? (Summary: For ~ 1 week: I was connected to wi-fi 'A'. When I powered on this morning, I got the wi-fi screen and could not connect to wi-fi 'A' anymore despite very good signal strength. I can connect to other wi-fi networks -- just not 'A' anymore.) Thank you.
It's weekend here in China, will have our engineer to look at this issue on Monday. Would you please let us know what is your router model?
The router is a Bell Giga Hub which I believe is just a branded Sagemcom F@ST 5696e. Just to clarify: Originally I was able to login to this device many times. Two days ago the X9 reset itself. After that I was unable to connect to the Giga Hub. Other wireless networks work fine for now. Thank you!
May I know when X9 reset itself, were you using the X9 at that time? If so, what operation you were doing right before X9 reset itself. Thanks for the support.
