Very robust - all features are supported - I use Spicefly with MusicIP and that all works seamlessly and it's great to have the A6 integrated with my Crestron system and iPeng - very very impressed.

Oh lord. Thanks for the update. Trying to quell my feelings of envy! Still, the stability you describe means the public beta can't be too far away.... Huge hat-tip to the Eversolo devs for adding this feature. Have the A6 in my kitchen but might have to add the A8 to my living room set up now.

LMS may look, or "sound" old to some, but it is a heck of a software; stable, versatile, available on many different platforms.
Say, since it has been the FIRST (decades ago...), and it is still here, despite Logitech having discontinued it, so that amateur / DIY-ers embraced it and kept its development going (read: made by music-lovers-devs for music-lovers), the fact that Eversolo opted for integrating it in the A6 is absolutely astonishing!
Good move, Eversolo. Now, if only all the buyers could spend some time learning LMS, I am pretty confident that sooner or later Roon will be routed out of the scene for many not "heavy-pocketed" users.

I have been a LMS user since ages; left it behind since I use now a local, RPi based player (moOde - have a look at it, you won't regret) for just my listening "mancave", so that I really do not need all of its bells and whistles. But should I need just a patio-player tomorrow... no doubt I'd go the LMS-way again.

Cheers guys, and enjoy it - you'll definitely love it once it sinks in.

It does look old too many. I used with a SoTM and i hated the way it looked. I appreciate that some will find it fantastic but they should give priorities to give us a decent library manager within the control app that is it the main controller of the device.....my humble opinion

"the way it looked" is exactly what I meant. Its UI may be ugly, or "old". This has nothing to do, though, with the way it works.

I couldn't care less, anno 2023 I would like something that pleases my eyes too. The software is there and it's a good base too, they just need to work on it.

    Cool.
You probably have no clue what it would mean to port such a software to a more modern UIs; in terms of testing, and backward compatibility.
After all, it is not something you constantly look at, isn't it. I do agree that it looks dated, but id works, oh Lord if it does,

Please check out “material skin” an integrated plugin upgrade for the web interface, or iPeng as control app.
These are both second to none including Roon imho:

library management is one of the best, I dont know what could be improved there.

The original UI does look outdated because well it is! This project has plenty of ongoing development including a more modern UI. A few screenshots for you from desktop and Android to showcase. Perhaps not as aesthetically pleasing as Roon but far more functional.

I think you pipped me but I had already reached for my laptop to take some screenshots of the web UI after reading the critique of the aged interface! Nothing much bothers me but seems my LMS-fanboydom got the better of me on this occasion :)

At least it should be clear to JamOne how marvelous LMS is...:)

Perhaps I didn't word it properly....no I have no idea but I didn't mean LMS, I meant the Eversolo controller app and having used for years Auralic Lighting DS I know that it can be done

Please, read one of my first reply in this thread, I used LMS when I was streaming with a SoTM SMS-200....I didn't like it, and I hated the fact that I had to use it through a web interface even more, sorry, can't help it :). If Eversolo could put some more effort in the current control app by eliminate bugs and implement proper grouping using also the other metadata tags, it wouldn't be bad at all.

Perhaps I dont understand you, but with LMS, you dont use the control app from the Eversolo. You use the new nice LMS material web interface, or some app like iPeng. The Eversolo is just an audio endpoint, like with Roon.

I am sure it's me who doesn't explain it properly. I don't want to use a web interface, it's what made me hate it the most when using the SoTM. I want to use a dedicated app....my reference is Auralic Lighting DS. I have used the Lumin app, Linn Kazoo, MConnect HD. The are all good functional apps but the one that I liked the most is the Auralic LDS. The Eversolo is a nice one but with limited functionality and buggy. Since it is the official controlling app, I think they should put some more work into it to improve functionalities

Ok, but with Music library management systems like Roon and LMS you will never be able to use anything other than the app or website from the product (Roon or LMS), but both have dedicated apps for that, with LMS that is iPeng for IOS.
If you want Music selection from the interface of the Eversolo, i’m with you, that is limited functionality for now.
For me, queing of a single song in the “now playing” queue, is the most important missing thing. Making a playlist before you start playing works fine, and playing a complete album also. It is stable too.

I might give this iPeng a try…who knows. I hardly make playlist before playing….that’s exactly what i mean. I start playing accostding to the mood of the moment and start adding to queue….not possible. I also like to focus on a genre, not possible either, genre is there but all tracks together without a structure. I do have an annoying bug where suddenly within an album the same to tracks play in a loop.
What i fear is that LMS is just a try to give us something functional and leave the controller app as is

When controlling LMS with Material skin on your phone or tablet, you can "install" it and it feels exactly like a dedicated app.

iPeng is great for LMS - as modern an interface as any - certainly way better and less buggy than the one for my Linn DS.

From a client perspective you can of course use the Eversolo app for the A6 while using LMS.

Other LMS clients are easily controlled from their front panels also (Radio, Boom and Touch)

I only tend to use the LMS web interface for administration when adding music and updating MusicIP.

Ah ok, I assumed that Eversolo would only implement a LMS rendering endpoint, not a full client with controls.
Any idea when its going Bèta? Can’t wait to try it!
