Interesting, I’ve sold the Play and replaced it with a A6 Gen2.. zero lip sync issues ..

That’s great to hear. I’ve done a second factory reset and it is still there to some extent, just doesn’t seem natural when you look at the person speaking on TV and the audio is ever so slightly out of sync. I’ve also encountered digital noise that just plays even when no content is playing. Continually trying to adjust the eARC setting from the Sony TV is a bit aggravating to say the least.

What amp are you using for the DMP-A6?

I notice that the issue gets worse over time during viewing. Decided to do a reboot of the device to see if that would fix the problem. When it comes back up, all I get is digital noise, nothing even playing, just the home screen of the Apple TV.

I think I’m sending it back.

Hello. I'm sorry to hear that.
To assist you efficientlly, these factors are required:
Is it working properly after the initial startup? And how long does it take before the sync issue occurs? Is the issue getting worse along time?

Sure. I have my Eversolo Play connected to my TV via HDMI. I have it set up as EARC in the source menu. When I’m watching a video, the audio isn’t perfectly aligned with what I’m seeing on the TV. It’s a bit off. There’s a slight delay between the audio and the video.

    Get. What about:
    1. The brand of your TV connected
    2. Does the issue occur right after the initial startup?
    3. How long does it take before the sync issue occurs? Is the issue getting worse along time?
    Thanks.

    1. Samsung S95D
    2. This occurs immediately after the system starts. It became more pronounced after the most recent firmware update.
    3. It doesn’t take long. As soon as I start watching a video it’s noticeable. It was something I could somewhat deal with before but after the firmware update that released yesterday, it’s worse.

Hi there. Samsung S95D is on Tizen system, which is not supported by our TV app yet.
And some models of Panasonic TV is on Fire TV, which is either not supported.

In response to your questions: Initially when I turn the TV on and select an app within the Apple TV it is ok, but it gets worse as time goes on during the viewing session. Sometimes 15-30 minutes into a program it start to become noticeable. From your last response it appears there is a list of “supported” TVs, is Sony in that list? I have a Sony Bravia 8 OLED display.

What TV app are you referring to? This is about issues involving HDMI.

    ! Sorry, I've confused threads.
The HDMI ARC input on PLAY is mainly designed for sending audio back from your TV, so you can enjoy better decoding and sound performance when playing music through the TV.
When watching movies or TV shows, ARC/eARC may introduce some delay, which can cause audio and video to be slightly out of sync. For this reason, it’s not ideal to use ARC as the main channel for video playback.
Different products and decoding chips may behave differently.
We’ll collect these feedback and let our R&D team analyze whether this can be improved. Thank you.

Well that’s unfortunate about the delay introduced by the Play’s ARC connection. If I used optical from the TV, would you say that would eliminate any chance of delay between the audio decoding and the video on screen? Also, the Play is IR remote capable, correct?

    1. Optical from TV still may have delay.
    2. It's recommended using this way:
    • Connect a decoder that supports optical drive input and features fast ARC processing to your TV.
    • Then, use RCA cables to connect the decoder's output to the PLAY device's RCA input.
    3. BTR-12 and V-16 remote control is available with the play.

Thanks, Kim. Regarding the answer to number two, that would bypass the Play’s internal DAC. Or does the RCA input go through an analog to digital conversion and then through the internal AKM DAC? This seems like a show stopper for me if I can’t get HDMI or optical from the TV without some kind of delay.

    Thanks again.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing a persistent lip sync issue with my setup. My TV is a Sony KE-65XH9096, connected to an Apple TV 4K. Initially, I linked the TV to the Eversolo Play (firmware 1.5.10) via HDMI ARC, but encountered a noticeable delay—around 1.1 seconds. Switching to an optical connection made the delay even more pronounced. Hoping for better results, I tried connecting the Apple TV to the Eversolo via AirPlay, but the lip sync problem still persists.
It would be great if there was an audio delay adjustment on the Eversolo Play.
