Is there a good naming convention for episodes of TV shows to help match metadata?

It's probably better to use MKVToolNix.

But just for clarity, MP4Splitter 3.8 does split mkv files (to make sure I was not going crazy, I just split an mkv into two files).

 

I think the combination of two episodes in one file is not intended because I've tried to match two episodes manually and the interface does not allow it.

• Legend Of The Seeker
• Season 1
• Legend Of The Seeker - S01E01-E02 - Prophecy - Destiny.mkv
• Legend Of The Seeker - S01E01-E02 - Prophecy - Destiny.srt

with this combination the 1st episode is shown in HT 5.0

I've tried also this

the episodes list started from 3 to 22

 

Yes I agree and found the only way to get sequential episode's shown in ht4 or 5 with synopsis is to create a non playable dummy file as I showed in my post. I tried all those combos and many more.

 

Those of you like me who has lot of TV series and name doesn't match the way Zidoo like I would use program called Filebot every penny worth i did about 23 tv series in about 10 minutes
