With the help of @rockmeloman I've been trying to replicate stuttering on and off over the last few weeks with some success.

So far I can only replicate it under two circumstances:

    1. Using both AIPQ and AISR and having both AIPQ and AISR OSDs switched on

This will induce stuttering in a "problematic" clip I have, and, after 1.5 - 2 hours of continuous playing remux HDR10 and Dolby Vision Profile 7 content.

(note that since I'm using 4K content, AISR is dormant but if it's not switched on along with the corresponding OSD, I can't induce stutter)

    2. Using a USB stick as a source (but notably, not a SATA source)

I can induce stutter in this case without AIPQ and/or AISR but only with the problematic clip.

This is both with a USB 2.0 stick in the USB 2.0 port or a USB 3.0 stick in a USB 3.0 port.

No amount of playback with remux HDR10 and Dolby Vision Profile 7 content will induce stuttering in this case.

To be clear, I usually use an SMB NAS source and I never see stutter unless I invoke #1 above.

I bought my Z9X 8K a few months ago now. I paired it with a Hisense U8QG and Samsung Q900F. Everything worked well except for Dolby Vision. I tried everything on the Zidoo to fix it...as well as with the TV. Because TV worked fine with cable, and with a Roku Ultra, I though the inability to watch Dolby Vision (fix was to output as HDR10) was something with the player. During the Olympics the Roku started to have intermittent picture loss. Not terrible, but noticeable. It too used Dolby Vision. Well...it turns out it was the HDMI cables. Even though they were were rated for HDMI 2.1, they were cheap. I tried some different cables and my stuttering with Dolby Vision appears to finally be resolved. If settings don't fix things, and you don't believe you have a player/TV issue...try different cables.

The originals were some cheap/inexpensive cables I got on Amazon...they claimed to be HDMI 2.1 and rated to 8K@60Hz and 4k@120Hz. Now, I'm using Cable Matters [Ultra High Speed HDMI Certified] 48Gbps Ultra Thin HDMI 2.1 Cables

for over 1 year.. I had issues.. like screen tearing during bright or fast action.(screen would go black and picture re-sync). My cables were certified HDMI 2.1 and I bought them when I got my z3000, since I started getting the screen issue, I tried many different configurations of cables, replaced my HDMI switch box.
and at times.. it seemed ok.. then it would start again.. I've replaced the cables except the one that goes to the Tv due to the time it would take to replace. So anyway..

I really started to think it was my z3000 firmware issue.. and every new firmware I would hope it would fix the issue, and things worked fine'ish for the first week.. and then started up again. Finally I gave up and replaced the cable that goes to the TV
and wouldn't you know everything worked great.. been over 3 weeks now.. even switching to other devices.. the picture would pop up on the screen was faster now.. would get a long hanging black screen if changing to disc player, playstation or Apple TV.

What made me finally wonder if it was the cable, my playstation 5 would lose the picture at times while playing.. it was one of things when it would be fine and then I wanted to throw out the machine.. thought it was defective.. nope it was another
one of the so called 2.1 certified cables.. anyway replaced that at the same time as the TV cable and its been perfect also.

So the moral of the story is.. just don't assume your cables are good even though they are not old and good quality, just replace them if you are running out of ideas.
