Yes - you have to open the collection from a posterwall (not the HT home page) and just select the sort icon in the top right corner:

 

Thanks Mark, I got this work by going into the Collections section from the HT Home page. It doesn't work if I go into the 4K section from the HT Home page, and then go to the Star Wars collection. Odd, but all sorted now.

 

So with bored mode I choice to do spins, in order to watch a Random movie I haven't yet seen.

Why does the spin also contains all the movies that are marked as Watched? It doesn't make sense. There should be at least an option to toggle Watched movies on or off in the spin/shuffle.

 

Wouldn't it be better to review it again?

 

Hi there, two questions:

i. Is it possible to select a minimum time before the dynamic background appears?
ii. If I disable the dynamic background, the fan art appears in full screen. Is this a bug? Can this be changed to default size/position?

I have 3 movies that always show up under unmatched and I can successfully match them but they continually show up under unmatched? I can’t seem to figure it out. Two are mkv the other avi. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

 

List them as you have them including the suffix, just might give a clue to the problem

2001 Maniacs (2005).mkv
Just One of the Girls (1994).m4v

 

Just One Of The Girls (1993) is how TMDB lists it, not 1994 and maybe just change the suffix to mp4

when I get home I’ll check the other one.

 

The issue isn’t finding them in TMDB, it’s that they don’t keep the matching properties. I appreciate the help and will change the extension on the one.

 

Could the incorrect date cause HT to go off looking and in the process removing it to unmatched. It’s really weird behaviour that I’ve never experienced.

ii. No, it's not a bug, that's how the fanart had always been displayed. If you want to change it the only way is to produce your own fanart and use local art preference.

 

Just tested both the films, naming exactly as above.

Both failed.

Then I renamed without the dates (I don't add dates unless necessary) and one failed - 2001 Maniacs. Just One of the Girls matched correctly, so as @Netmask said, the original failure is because of the incorrect year.

2001 Maniacs failed probably because HT has always, for reasons unknown, disliked movies starting with a number. It was easily rematched manually.

So are you saying when you rematch manually, they return to unmatched? If so, that definitely doesn't happen here.

 

I’ll give removing the dates from the file a try and see if that makes a difference. And, yes I could manually match both but they would should up under unmatched even after the update.

From the outset, the audio track indicated by the icons on the movie page in HT has been problematic. As I am French, my default audio is French, but most of the time on the movie page, HT shows the icon for the English audio track or sometimes both. I don't know the criteria for the display choice. Would it be possible to display the default audio icon and/or the first three, for example, with the country flag next to them on the movie page?
It's annoying to have to click on the audio tracks to find out which one corresponds to my language when it's the default audio...

 

Personally I turn off the Audio and Subtitle settings on the movie page - I find them too distracting.

I also only include the language I speak in my files so I remux with the English soundtrack only and the English Forced Subtitle if it exists. I must admit I never really understand why people keep audio tracks for languages they don't speak and subtitles for languages they don't read.

 

I understand what you mean, but I don't understand why Zidoo doesn't make the effort to take the default language into account.
You wonder why keep multiple languages? Well, for example, my wife doesn't like watching the original version with subtitles, and I like to do so from time to time.
However, @Markswift2003, you're telling me that you do this or that, which is a fact, but don't take offence, Zidoo sells internationally, so it should adapt its products accordingly, both in terms of functionality and the HT interface, and not just halfway... And just because you do it that way doesn't mean Zidoo has to adapt to your method.
Zidoo has to meet as many needs as possible (especially given their price).

Zidoos methodology has nothing to do with the way I do things - on the contrary, my way of doing things is often defined by the features and indeed the drawbacks of the Zidoo. I tend to take a pragmatic approach rather than dictating how Zidoo should or should not conduct their business.
