At this point I neither know what you've done nor how you did it! I'd be resetting HT and starting again.

A backup can't be "wiped" - it's a file - it has to be deleted manually.

Hi, will we get an update package to the latest version that was released for the 8k box? i think it was 5.0.75 that was included in their Bios

    Hello all.

I've not added any new files for a long time, but now having ripped a fair bunch of discs recently I've now run in to the TMDB issue from last year and the new rips are not being matched.

I see there is the TMDB Fix v4.3.52 to resolve that, but there is also the HT5 v5.0.68 Beta update in this thread, so I can either do just the TMDB patch or go to the v5 update.

I'm currently on HT5 v4.3.03 - so pretty old. And on the current firmware v1.0.95.

Other than the TMDB issue I have no other issues, other than the choppy playback with all VC1 format files, but that I think is an issue with the v1.0.95 firmware, not HT5.

S0 my question is, given I have no issues at all other than the TMDB issue, should I just stick to the v4.3.52 fix and leave it there. Or would there be any benefit from going to v5.0.68 Beta - or some other known stable version between my current v4.3.03 and the v5.0.68 Beta?

Would the TMDB fix sort my matching issue out and everything else continue to function happily as it does now, or did that fix introduce any other demons. If it broke something else in the process, perhaps it's now better to go to one of the later v5 updates - but which is considered the latest stable version?

I'm nervous of updating and breaking something that works well now, though not being able to match future rips is of course not acceptable.

    Thanks all

My post yesterday seems to have disappeared or been deleted for some reason.

I was asking if there was any benefit to updating from HT5 v4.3.03 to the latest HT5 v5.0.68 Beta or just do the TMDB v4.3.52 fix.

Everything works perfectly for me other than the TMDB issue that I've just run into.

So that makes me think just do the TMDB fix and leave it at that, but from what I've read there may have been issues introduced with that update. So perhaps it's best to go to a more up-to-date version. But would that be right up to the v5.0.68 Beta, or a more stable earlier version, and if so, what earlier version is that?

As the ONLY issue I have now is the TMDB issue with new rips not matching, I'm nervous of breaking my otherwise stable player.

I'm on the latest main firmware v1.0.95 and mine is a z2000 Pro.

    Thanks

Hello everybody, ho are you? I am new here and my name is Migue from Spain. Nice to be in this forum. I have one question. I have a Zidoo Z9X Pro but I have some problem with ISO3D. In the halfway through the movie, the video starts skipping and the audio jumps. It only happens when the movie is about halfway through, and the video and sound skip the whole time. Has this happened to anyone else? I have firmware V1.0.95. If I update my Zidoo Z9X Pro to this Beta update V5.0.68, will the problem be fixed? Thank you very much.

There's a very valid school of thought that if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but don't forget this is just the HT app and not firmware so you're not really doing anything to the player itself.

There are quite a large number of improvements in the interface jumping from v4.3.03 to 5.0.68 - most notably Home Screen Themes and the ability to aggregate sources independently so you can organise and separate libraries in any way you want.

There's a bit difference in the way the database is organised so if there are problems with your current database there can be issues - but nothing a bit of wrangling can't sort out.

Personally I'd make a backup of the database and also export NFOs and artwork first and then you have all your ducks in a row to fix any issues if they arise (they shouldn't!).

And if you really don't like it you can always return to the previous version.

I'm running HT v5.0.68 on firmware v1.0.95 on my Z9X Pro and it's rock solid.

So, I just run into the TMDB issue myself after I did the firmware upgrade from 1.0.90 to 1.0.95 with the HT 5.0.68. New movies in my movie folder could not be identified by HT posterwall.
I spent about 3 hours with searching for a solution... I was sweating blood and I was about to start the painful downgrading to an earlier firmware. Then I accidentally noticed that the time and date setting was completely off on my Z9X Pro. After I set the date, time, time zone, daylight savings time, HT immediately fixed itself.

Sometimes the fix can be that simple...
