What I used is not an “abbreviated name”, it is the correct name that TMDB and TVDB and IMDB use. All that extra stuff you have included simply confuses matching. As I posted in my first reply get rid of all that extra stuff from both the master folder and file names. You can’t expect services like TMDB to be aware of the names that this or that pirate uses. Zidoo uses MediaInfo to extract the technical details so anything beyond the simple name is unnecessary.

As I mentioned at the beginning, it worked for me in the past and now it doesn't work for me and I reported it here in the topic and whoever wants to can take care of it or not.

It’s quite possible TMDB, TVDB etc etc have placed anti pirate blocks on names. So observe the naming rules that Zidoo uses.

This is an update to the recently released patch to HT5 for the TMDB scraping issues we've been having.

    THX A LOT !!!

I have a Z10 Pro w/ FW 6.4.42 on it. Will downloading this HT version change the FW version or just the software?

  6. It's just a new version of that particular app. It doesn't flash an update to your firmware.

    I have a Z9X running firmware 6.4.68 and HT 4.3.52.

I recently added 4 new episodes of a tv series. After HT finished scanning (they were all matched correctly) i happened to check the information shown for each episode when you click the "more" button. The info for all 4 episodes was identical. Further checking showed that it was the correct info for the first episode, duplicated for the remaining 3.
I corrected the second episode using the refresh button, then discovered that the 3rd and 4th episode now showed the 2nd episode's data.

After refreshing each episode, everything now looks correct.
This issue did not occur previously. Not sure when it started, but I suspect it was somewhere in the batch of updates to correct the TMDB problem.

Anyone else seeing this problem or is it unique to me?

I’ve noticed it on my UHD3000 several times but it seems random and overtime has corrected the episodes. The best I can comment it seems to occur when you load in several episodes to HT in one session. Adding one by one and matching not so often. ???

My UHD3000 have been running firmware 6.4.68 and HT 4.3.52. TMDB scraping have been having issues these few days.

    Any updates for HT?

Most problems I’ve observed are naming problems, since the last HT update (.52) I haven’t experienced any problems with matching. I have observed if I attempt to load in more than around 5 episodes in one go, the system seems to choke and takes forever to show up in HT. Remember TMDB is run by volunteers it’s not a business in the normal sense so you can get ahead of entries being entered into their system.

I "backed up" all posters from z3000pro to the HDD, which I have put back into the z1000pro now that it has a working posterwall program. It won't repopulate all the data though, and "scanning" misses HUNDREDS of movies & tv shows. Is there a walkthrough for how to get this working?

Alternately, I guess I can do it with a REAL KEYBOARD. I don't know why I hadn't just plugged one in before. I now find out that it works just fine--although you still have to "mouse" around with the remote control. Still, this is GREAT that I don't have to tap tap tap tap tap enter A, etc! :)

Why not use the web edit program on your PC?

EDIT: belay that! It turns out that you can just PLUG IN A USB KEYBOARD, and it works fine once your cursor is in the window. What a relief! Although, it would be nicer to just repopulate PosterWall with all the data I "backed up" from the Z3000pro.

Slightly different question: How do you enter a Movie/Show that is not in TMDB/TVDB, and will *not* get a match? Even just giving it a name and date would be better than it sitting among the thousands of personal videos and junk in the "unmatched" folder.

The best "solution" I have found is "you may need to create a local NFO file with the correct metadata", and then "To create an .nfo file for a movie not listed on TMDB, you can use a media management tool like TinyMediaManager or Media Companion to generate the file with the necessary metadata fields. The .nfo file should contain essential information such as the movie title, year, plot, genre, director, and actor details, formatted correctly with valid XML markup."

Can I really not just type the movie name and date and leave it at that?? :-/

If you do a search on the forum there is a sticky showing how to do this, childhood vacations at Disneyland etc as I remember. One method is to add a movie that has a name close enough, that you don’t have, and edit with the WebEdit program to match what you need.

http://192.168.1.xxx:9528/ where x is the IP of your Zidoo That's the address for the DR models. Not sure if its any different for the newer models

OOOOH! Right. Duh! Sorry I'm dumb. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I think I'm going to just retire the z1000pro and move on with the z3000pro. It's much snappier in all regards.
